Yes, the PSI range depends on the load range. I have LT load range E Toyo AT3s and the max PSI is 80PSI for the highest load on HD trucks. I run low 40s on the Toyos to match the stock P metric Pirelli tire load at 35.

Straight from Toyo
https://www.toyotires.com/media/2125/application_of_load_inflation_tables_20170203.pdf

"WARNING! Please note that size-for-size, LT-metric tires require higher air pressures to
carry equivalent loads of P-metric tires and that any failure to adjust air pressure to achieve the
vehicle’s load requirements will result in tire fatigue and eventual tire failure due to excessive
heat build-up. Due to the higher PSI requirements of LT-metric tires they may not be suitable for
replacing O.E. P-metric tires because of the ride harshness that results from higher PSI
requirements."

Sorry for the thread hijack OP. I had the LTX on an Escalade and they were silent, great ride.
Not a problem.... all good information

It is done...what a difference in the ride and quiet. Driving home, I was hearing tire road noise and figured that was me..... then I realized it was the truck beside me.:LOL::LOL: Can not believe how quiet it is. Fuel mileage looks like it got better. Will know for sure after a couple of fills.

definitely will do well on pavement.. however off pavement good luck chief.
Despite their modest look, they have proven to be a quite capable off road and as an all weather tire.

Let's see some pics! Regular tires need love too.

I don't love my defender IIs on another car. They are very quiet, good handling, exceptionally comfortable, and don't seem to pick up debris like someone else mentioned, but theyre not good at all in the snow and they're like solidly 2mpg less than the bridge stones that were previously on the car. The difference in mpg was very immediately observed by my wife and I. They were probably 250$ a set over the bridgestones, so Ill probably switch back when these are done.

They are not considered all weather tires as they do not have the 3PMSF rating.

I never tried them during a winter as I had always swapped to dedicated winters but I heard from some they are decent in snow.

I will only use the Michelins in the summer on my 2021 Ford rims. I have General Grabbers ATP's for winter on an old set of 2010 Ford F 150 rims. Both have TPM's installed, so I don't get the nagging.

Edit: They were installed with 41 PSI but I found the truck was wanting to wander in the lane and was too sensitive to steering wheel movement. I lower the air pressure down to 38 and seemed much better. Will see how they are at that pressure. If I am going to be carrying a heavy load I will pump them up to 40 or higher.

Check out tyre reviews. Lots of testing on tires off and on road.

They note in their testing there is almost no correlation between the 3PMSF and how well a tire performs in snow or ice conditions. In their testing, the Defefender did very well in the snow and even off road.

Well, the correlation between brands is weaker, but for some manufacturers, there is a stronger correlation between their own 3PMSF rated tires non 3PMSF rated tires.

I’m really waiting for a review that compares the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 versus the Michelin Agilis CrossClimate tire.

It seems like when Michelin rates a tire 3PMSF, it slots right between their studless winter tire and best all season tire in terms of winter performance.

I also recently added a set of Michelin Defender LTX MS2 (275/65R20 116H XL) to a set of Magnetic Metallic Painted Expedition 20s.

Road Noise, Ride, Economy and Driving feel all great so far.

Look of the tires: Blah! Unlike the LTX MS with bolder edges, Michelin decided to round the sidewalls to the tread. It makes the tires look smaller and more of a passenger car tire.

Costco also set mine to 41psi, I will be lowering them down to 35psi as noted on my door card.

What did they charge you per tire? I was quoted $369.99 per tire. Kal Tire was $319.00
