I already drove a '25 Ram with the 3.0 I6 (Hurricane). One is for sale at my local dealer. They aren't coming off sticker yet but I imagine they will be as soon as more dealers receive them.

Oh wow! I didn't realize they were already being built. How was the turbo 6?

Wondering how it compares to the ecoboost. Had that drivetrain been available in '22 when I bought my F150, it's very possible I could be driving a Ram today.

It was good. It felt as quick as a standard EcoBoost but not as peppy as a PowerBoost. Other than that, it was your typical Ram truck. I imagine that with an advertised 24 MPG on the highway, it will help sales. The 17 MPG in the city is kind of a downer but if it had a hybrid/generator option with a 30 amp plug in the back, I'd be taking a second look but Ram doesn't have that...yet. For basic towing and standard truck stuff, I bet it will do well. I think the 8-speed transmission has held up over time and those bugs have been worked out so if the engine does well, they may have a winner. Time will tell.

To me, having the generator option is what sets Ford apart from the others. The Ram 1500 RamCharger will be interesting when it comes out with it's 3.6 V6 used as a generator (I hate that engine) and electric motors to drive the wheels.

If anyone is going to be selling/trading a 2022 or 2023 F150 Platinum 5.5 with the PB, let me know. Shoot me a PM. Granger is only 4 hours away from me. Possible pass through deal.

Hello everyone, 1st timer here. I ordered 2024 Lariat 501A on 9/14/23, it was built on 1/18/24 with original eta of 1/27. Current eta is 3/15, but since it is still sitting offsite at the Michigan Motor Speedway, I doubt delivery will be anytime soon. Latest rumor is they are having major issues with new tailgate.
One would think Ford would have ironed out any issues with the PAT prior to taking orders for the 24's and certainly before schedualing build dates.

First Platinum I've seen in the wild. No new tailgate but it does appear to have the bed camera.
That truck has an MSRP of $88,370. That is an impressively high number however, what is more impressive is that it had a blend date of March 7th...5 days ago!!
Sure, the dealer is close to the factory but still, that is quick considering it was still mostly just a box of parts this time last week and for a guy with a blend date for tomorrow, It's looking good. Then again, I do have a spray-in bedliner being added by Ford so that will likely slow me down a bit.

Incredible how all over the place this whole process is. I’m excited to start seeing everyone’s posts with their new trucks!!

Is the blend date on the sticker typically accurate? Is that the best indicator of the truck is actually put together?

Yes. The blend date is the date that the body and chassis are “blended” and put together. Unless a strike, pandemic, or other uncommon delay, it’s pretty accurate. There are some other variables but after the blend date, it takes about 1.5 shifts until the truck leaves final assembly. From there it is either routed to be shipped (purgatory for a lot of ‘24s so far) or sent for other parts that are not put on during the assembly process (sprayed in bedliner).
Any given truck is “in production” about a week before the blend date. After all, the chassis has to get made, rust coating, assembled, the body made, assembled, painted, and etc. before being able to be “blended”.

I know that many of you have a pretty good understanding of the process But from reading here and listening what is going on that process seems pretty helter skelter. My blend date was 1/31. My tracker is still showing in Production since 2/6. Ordered in November. And my dealer says it was built but he has no idea as to where it is right now. Confused to say the least.

So no bed cams on Lariat, but yes on Platinum Plus at least. Wonder what the KR trucks come with…
KR's *should* have the bed cams as well. - However, "should" and "will" cannot be verified until such time as we (finally) see one in the wild...
