My 2023 with the 3.5 and 1875 miles suddenly set a warning of low oil pressure yesterday. I had been running around town all morning then stopped for lunch. When I started up after lunch I got the oil pressure warning, and it also turned the check engine light on. I killed the motor and looked under the vehicle. No leaks. Started back up and and looked good for a few seconds, gauge and info screen, then it lit up again. Called dealership and after talking to the service writer made the drove it to the dealership, No bad noises or high temps, ran fine other than it had reduced power. Hope to find out Monday what the issue is. Has anyone here had a similar issue?

Fingers crossed, hopefully that's just a software or sensor issue and not an engine problem.

Can the turbos leak oil into the exhaust and/or intake air?

Remember, the low oil pressure, comes from a switch. Setpoint is around 5#. If you truly had low oil pressure the engine would begin grinding itself as the residual film departed. This why, when I can get things set up, I'll put an independent mechanical pressure gauge. Remember, the computer driven dashboard only shows you what the programmer thinks you need to know.

Sorry for stating the obvious, but did you check the dipstick? You didn't say if you did in your post so just thought I would ask.
Yes I did.

Nothing wrong with asking the obvious. Good that you did check and good that the question was asked anyway. There are a few failures that can happen even with a full crankcase level.
Absolutely. I really think it is probably a sensor thing. I thought possibly someone else had the same issue. I appreciate all the replies.

My thoughts as well. I even called my independent mechanic friend and picked his brain before deciding to drive it as opposed to having them flatbed it to the dealership.

Anyone know how hard it is to get a mechanical gauge on it? First Ford for me :)

Can also guarantee you the dealer will say: it's just a faulty sensor. I can't speak to whether it's a prevalent issue on newer trucks (21+) but it's not an uncommon issue overall.

My 2018 3.5 Ecoboost had a chronic low oil pressure issue and is the reason I sold it. I had to replace the switch (sensor) five times in under a year and it left me stranded on the side of the road a number times.

I had my local mechanic and three different dealerships work on it and every time they would say: "it's just the sensor." They would replace it, it would be fine for a while, but it kept failing.

While it truly could just be a faulty switch, which it probably is, if the issue persists push them to replace the wired connection as well. That was the only thing that seemed to resolve the issue for me.

Dealership called and advised it was a bad sensor.
