I’ve heard the same thing about the newer trucks not using the old vacuum IWEs, but Ford’s TSB 25-2513 still talks about incomplete IWE disengagement on 2021–2025 models. So something up front is definitely still being engaged and disengaged.
I also get that the truck might do a quick hub...
I’m having a problem with my 2023 F-150 XLT (base 4×4 system — just 2H, 4H, and 4L, no 4A). When the temperature drops below freezing, my front end starts acting like the 4×4 is trying to engage even though I’m in 2H.
On cold mornings, the truck pops and bangs when I turn, almost like the...
Where is ties into the knuckle. I'm just thankful it didn't come apart at 90 mph on I-10 a couple of weeks ago. Apparently they didn't more than hand tighten the locking nut. They assured me that everything is tight now. I may go for a 2nd opinion on that. Thankful for the angel watching over me.
I guess I'll take it back to the place that put the level setup on. They have a alignment rack and tech. Would a bad belt in a tire come and go like flipping a light switch on / off? I don't think it is wheel weights as the wobble happens at lower speeds and starts in an instant and goes away...
I had the Rough Country M1 leveling struts set at a 2" lift installed 5 months and approximately 5,000 miles ago. I have the Nitto Recon 265/75 R20 SL on a set of Fuel Wheels. It has been great and trouble free until this last weekend. Then at speeds anywhere from 35-50 three separate times I...
Nothing proven here but if I will manually downshift a gear or 2 the boost gauge backs off and the MPG gauge goes up. This is hiway driving with hills or wind. Need more time and road trips to mess with the theory. Only have 3600 miles on the F150 and 1600 or so on the 2nd motor.
I asked, they said they wouldn't tear down the motor. It would be shipped back to a reman facility and they would either reman it or scrap it if it wasn't good enough to reman. They would never hear the final decision at the dealer level. That's all I know.
I don't read on here a lot, are loose...
Bad sensor turned into an all new motor. Local dealership fixed it and back to me in 5 weeks. Thankful that they stepped up and rented a F150 for me to drive while mine was in the shop. Not the best situation but Pollard Ford did their best to make it as pain free as possible.
No joke. I talked to the service manager and a independent mechanic I know well and they both felt that it would be ok as it wasn't making any knocking or grinding noises. I hope they can get it replaced and back to me in a reasonable amount of time. I have not even made the first payment on it...
