So last week I was driving to work in a snow storm in 4WD and during one of my highway curves my front end grabbed and started turning toward the ditch. I tried driving again and it did the same thing; only in a turn. I eventually made it back to town and drove it around some side streets to try to duplicate it and it did every time I made a turn. It was only making that knocking sound on the front drivers side. I put it in 2WD and it went away. I have actuators ordered for that, and was told by my buddy/mechanic that as long as I didn't need 4WD it would be ok to keep driving in 2WD till the parts parts got here. Well now this week I noticed a rattling/ whining/buzzing sound during acceleration coming from that front driver side wheel, and it is worse in a turn, and when I get slowed down at a stop sign it sounds as if something is rattling around inside my hubcap area. I pulled off the hubcap and there was a cap in there that covered up a threaded rod with nut that I can push in a bit and it looks as if it was making contact with whatever that would go through (bearing?)Your input is appreciated.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
