What did you do TO your F-150 today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

welp, had to bite the bullet and buy new windshield wipers. bought truck 7/22 (built 1/22) and noticed for the past couple of weeks a lot of streaking out of nowhere.

tried to use them yesterday and a TON of noises started happening. how about both blades were destroyed and in pieces! i have never had that happen on a vehicle before. i mean, the passenger blade had maybe 2" still attached but the rest was gone! I just got my 20K service last month and they were fine!

$65 later i have two new Bosch Icon 22A's haha

Funny, I just returned the two Bosch wipers that I had to purchase in the middle of a 550 mile trip because they were a piece of junk. Had crazy streaks and squeaks, made a detour to O'Reillys, bought the Bosch, and 50 miles later I took them off and put the old one back. I bought two RainX silicone something, haven't put them on yet.

Guess I'm the oddball ....

After 21 months in constant no-garage Texas sun and using them almost every morning rain or shine to clear dust and bugs, my OE wiper blades, though not streaking, finally started squeaking on occasion.

$37 including tax got me a pair of replacement Motorcraft WW2208 overnight from Amazon, 30-second swap last week, I'm happy with that duration, performance, and cost.

Also fellas some alcohol on a cotton ball applied to the rubber cleaner part , does wonders .

I do the same thing and my blades are 3 years old and still work good. It’s also good to wash the blades when you wash your truck.

I installed the Putco Freedom Light bar on my .23 Platty.

Overall, I give it a 4 out of 5. There's a minor annoyance with it. Spoke to them and it seems like they are not taking full advantage, when possible, of all the inputs they could have, so there's a delay as the control box determines what exactly it needs to do and when.

The biggest gripe is when you're driving at night, it's in tailight mode of course and when you hit the brake, it brightens but when you release the brake pedal, it should just go back to the dimmed light level but instead it shuts off completely for anything between .5 to 2 secs before turning back on at the reduced (taillight) level.

I pointed out to Putco that their videos were a little misleading because they've been edited so you don't see that behavior in their videos. They said they'll update the videos and try addressing the issue with software but they need to utilize more inputs more effectively.

Can you tell me if your tailgate has this bracket in it making the installation trickier?

Can you also tell me if the blade has any brackets/holders that make installation of it "lift" off of the metal so it raises over these bolts?

I had that bracket. I removed mine since I do not intend to remove the tailgate.

Here's what I was told from Putco support via email:
"You have 3 options

1- Remove the bracket, this bracket only keeps the tailgate centered when opening or closing and there is 600 pounds directly on it.
2- Replace the bolts with flat head bolts and mount over
3- Keep the bracket and bolts on and only see a slight raise in the bar when looking down the side."

Hope this helps. I saw pics of an install with bolts that were flatter. The mounting brackets that come with the light bar WILL give it some separation from the truck, so it'll clear that easily if you buy flatter bolts.

2021 Platinum Powerboost 157” FX4 Max Trailer Tow…just added the KO3’s today!
This is my luxury truck, work truck, fast truck, off road truck and tow rig. Since it is a Powerboost with the 600# front coil springs I went with the Eibach Truck Pro Coilover Kit. I liked that it has the same co8l spring rating as the OEM, has 2.5” of leveling and the leveling can be adjusted while installed on the truck. I also liked that the rears are reservoir shocks as well. Since I do tow and sometimes have very heavy loads, I always add airbags as well. I love that they are so flexible, always allow me to keep the truck level and don't compromise the ride quality.
Although the Star White is pretty good, a white truck is not very exciting. I added the 20x9 Roush wheels with a +18 offset for a bit more poke than factory. As for tires, I wanted aggressive tread, strong carcass & sidewalls, high weight rating, light weight and 34”. I trust the KO2’s as they have always served me well, but it would kill me to buy KO2’s when KO3’s are on the horizon. So I went with the KO3’s and just settled for the 275/65R20’s. I wanted 295’s for a bit more width, but I know that the narrower the tire, the better in snow. Plus where I go off road, the narrow tires are better for sinking through the mud to get to the rock base and move the truck along. Lastly, the Roush wheels and KO3’s only increased my per wheel weight by 21 pounds. The OEM wheels with the Hankook AT2 was 86# while Roush wheels (41#) and KO3’s (65#) combined were only 107#. Normally I would not be so worried, but, I like the power of the Powerboost as well as the gas mileage so I tried to keep weight in mind. Lastly, I like a good ride - which is why I can’t stand the 3/4 & 1 ton trucks. while I need a competent tow rig with stout suspension and tires, I still want to try to keep the ride as close to OEM as possible.
In closing…I met all my goals and got the capability, looks and functions I wanted.

1) that cable is just for safety, in case the divider is not latched in or becomes unlatched, it won’t go flying out of the bed.

2) For bed cover, I have this Ford accessories tonneau cover VML3Z-84501A42-KD and the cover closes with no issues, while bed divider is in there too. This is a tri-fold cover.
