Hello, Marc here. Thanks for the add, and for the forum.

I'm a long time Ford owner and a long time F-150 owner going back to 1973. Yesterday, I picked up the latest one, a 2023 XLT PowerBoost Hybrid Electric from my local dealer in Raleigh.

You know the pleasure of new car smell. and the challenge of mastering the new technology. These have a remarkable array of features, even compared to the last one - a 2019...

So now it's time to settle down and study. They should offer a class.

I'm a moderator on a number of forums in other topic areas, and enjoy the culture and support that these online resources bring. Thanks again!

Welcome and just an FYI. Ford does have some nice vids of how to use specific features. They are usually short and focus on one topic so it nice. I do not know if they are in the trucks menu somewhere but you can find them on youtube, and they are worth a watch.

Good luck with that PB. Now you just need to get some good extension cords and you can power some things in your home with a power outage, easily.

Or you can go the more expensive route and install a Generac transfer switch subpanel and plug the truck into your home with the 30amp cord. That will get you about 8 circuits you can run off the truck.

Saying Hello and introducing myself. I recently bought a used 2021 Lariat 502A, Job 1, in Iconic Silver. I knew a truck was what we needed to replace our previous vehicle. I quickly narrowed the vehicle search to F-150s and then the deep dive into researching them began. This forum was great resource for learning about Gen14's once I decided that a lightly used F-150 was the best route for me. Now that I have the vehicle, there are even more questions and things to learn. I've spent a lot of time on here trying to figure out several post-purchase issues (and to verify what my dealer's service department is telling me). My biggest realizations are that Sync 4 is awesome (but not updated very often) and there is a bank account wrecking level of mods and accessories to buy.

Hello All!

I frequent this and some other forums as I research and learn new things about my F150. I have been a ford guy for a couple of decades now. The recent acquisition was a used 2022 F150 Limited Powerboost. Many F150s prior to but, including a couple of Platimuns, but none as advanced or nice.

This forum has been most helpful learning about forscan, factory omissions for the last couple of years (hence the used 22 vs new 23), and powerboost insight. I’m still searching for the magic OTA solution for getting the most recent updates early on without hassle.

I look forward to reading the never ending updated posts and new posts alike.

So far I'm happy with it - the power is amazing and the interior is a huge step up from my 2020 Lariat.

Hello all Devin here from Denham Springs, LA. I recently purchased a used 2021 F-150 XLT Supercrew 4x4 with the 3.5 in it with around 22,000 miles when purchased. Since owning I have only put tint and a 2.5" level on 35's.
I have owned two trucks prior to this one with both being Chevy's:
- A 1994 Chevy C1500 single cab with a 4/6 Belltech drop kit set to a 5/8 total drop
- A 2004 Chevy Silverado extended cab with a 6" RC lift kit

So far I have been loving the switch to my first Ford, first 4x4, and first crew cab. I'm looking forward to being a part of this community.

Hello! Thanks for the add... My name is Jeff and I live in Overgaard, AZ at 6700 ft elevation in the White Mountains.

I've been patiently waiting to purchase a truck for four years! I had an early reservation for the Cybertruck. I know, I know... many aren't impressed with it, but I'm in the tech sector and I thought many of the features were really cool (0-60 performance, 48v electrical system, gigabit ethernet for the CAN bus, 4 wheel steering, steer by wire, etc). It wasn't until they finally released it a couple weeks ago that I realized it just wouldn't work out for me given my location. If temps are, say, 20F outside and there is a 20MPH headwind, I can barely make it to and from another Eastern AZ town (Springerville in this example). The charging infrastructure is simply not built out enough out in this area.

So, the next best thing was Ford's hybrid Powerboost. I was lucky to find a slightly used model (7k miles) in the color and trim I wanted, a 2023 Platinum in Azure Grey Metallic. I've never owned a Ford before, nor a full sized pickup truck. In the 80's I had a two seater Toyota SR5 and a bench seat Mazda B2000... but don't really count them as trucks haha!

As for the F-150, I'm really enjoying it! I think it rides really nice, plenty of pep, and I really like how it looks. Plus, with the F-150 being so popular, so many aftermarket add-ons, great community forums like f150gen14, and lots of good youtube content.

My main modifications planned for now are mostly protective.... floor mats, mud flaps, bed rug, tonneau cover, oil catch can, etc. Plan to install a leveling kit and larger tires once these wear out.

Whatsup whatsup! Just placed an order for a 2024 f150 4wd single cab truck and I am soo excited to start this build! I plan on purchasing a whipple stage 2 supercharger and some other goodies! Anyone got performance shop recommendations in DFW that specialize in these coyote RCSB trucks? Looking for a reputable shop to do installs when the time comes!
