Your truck looks awesome :)

I used the IHC Ride Kit based on the research I did plus feedback from a few members here.
Headed to the alignment shop now and I need to check on my air bags as I fixed couple leaks last night.

it’s a bit lower than I really want to go but there doesn’t seem to be anything for a smaller drop.
how did it go today, everything get aligned?
got any more pics?

I used my feet to kick the lower control arm into the middle position and cranked it down and used a level to adjust the toe and the alignment guy said other than some more toe he said the camber was spot on lol.
the only issue now is my steering wheel is slightly turned and it drives me crazy so I’m going to adjust it slightly
Driving I’m still getting used to it but it doesn’t feel right just yet and I’m not sure if it’s me or something else.
Airbags were leaking down so I fixed that but I still lose 3lbs in 12hrs so have to look for leaks.
I think I might leave it 6” in the rear for now.

i had to take mine to the dealership to get the alignment right. they are mod friendly.
the tech called be to tell me that he needed to enlarge the holes in my control arms to get everything right. took him ~ 4 hours to do it.

Back at the alignment shop fo
Get the steering wheel clocked correctly. Next Saturday I’m going to install the shackles to get that inch in the rear.

Well now I’m starting to get concerned as the rear is slightly off and the front left cannot maintain camber and the wheel is still not centered.
So far I’m not exactly impressed with this kit but will continue to work with it and I’m going to have my ford dealer take a look when he changes my spring hangers. I’m also going to look into the traction bar kit.
Not something I really wanted to commit more time on as I want to move on to my fuel system changes.

Hello everyone, sorry to revive an old thread. I have a 2021 Tremor that was my daily driver until I was in an accident last December and became a paraplegic. I have installed a lift in the Tremor that allows me to get In and Out, but the seat height is quite high and the lift is time consuming. I am interested in ordering a regular cab and lowering it for a potential new daily.

Would any of you with a 2/4 or 3/6 mind measuring the seat height from the ground so I could determine if it'd be a reasonable height that I could transfer to straight from my wheelchair without the use of any aids like a lift?

Thanks in advance!

Brad

What level SCI are you? I would think if your T11-12 you shouldn’t have an issue pulling into the truck lowered like mine 3/6. If your a bit higher at T3-6 your probably still going to have a time with it.
What type chair are you using? Folding or Rigid? I would see if you can locate someone in your area that is lowered so you can see it in person. I would think a rigid chair setup would be the easiest to load into a reg cab. Your OT can help with technique as well like in an outpatient setting.

Thank you for the reply. I am actually C6 incomplete, so rather high. Technically quadriplegic. I have full function of my shoulders and arms but not a lot of dexterity in my hands. I have a lot of function in my posterior chain and some core coming back. Doing PT, OT, and weight training six days a week. My therapists and personal trainer are all stellar - I am now out of my power chair in a rigid manual. I'm transferring from the chair to the couch and bed, and now we're working on car transfers.

As I have limited use of my fingers I can't grab the steering wheel or A pillar handle very well and pull myself in, so my technique is more the push and slide style.

Appreciate the advice ??

That’s great you are in a rigid at the C6 level. Definitely power seating as the seat is lower than the non adjustable XL by a lot. I sold my truck or I could have gotten that measurement but @AdamC has a lowered XLT and might be able to get it for you.
Another thing you could do is get your seat to floor higher on the chair (depending on the model it might be adjustable), use a thicker cushion and use larger rear wheels to maintain elbow ergonomics so your closer to the truck seat.
