Request VIN Lookup Thread

Can someone check my VIN. i was told on another forum that dealers can update all modules to get the sticker option to work on the build1 2021 F150's for the pro backup trailer assist.

Ford was to release an OTA in Q4 of 2021 that would allow stickers to be used insted of the expensive Yaw Sensor. I am hoping the dealer can resolve this, but if no updates are found in FDRS I am waisting my time 3 hour drive and leaving it to them for 2 weeks.

Your truck is on Sync 22177, so I am sure FDRS has plenty of updates to do. The problem is while the dealer CAN do the updates, they DON'T do the updates because Ford does not pay them for the hours and hours of labors required to get your truck up to date. Based on how behind you are, it will take 12+ hours to get your truck just to where you want to be.

Thank You. I am thinking they will because I just bought the truck from a Ford dealer and was told by Salesman that yes the stickers are there and yes it will work. (also in text messages). I purchased the truck on that info and when I got home, NOPE it does not do the stickers. You are correct in your assumption because service department told my saleman nothing could be done. Luckly customers have access to the BBB and Google reviews. Once I went that route now they are willing to look it over. Manager did ask if I was aware of any other Ford dealers that they can contact to see if anyone has been able to get the sticker option to work.

If your truck is where I think it is, they need to update your IPC, IPMA/ADAS, CMR, CCM, PSCM. When someone provides a list of FDRS updates, we can check to see if my hunch is correct.

If you can get them to continue performing updates, then good for you. I am sure you have several APIM, GWM and TCU updates pending as well as a bunch of other modules, both I mentioned are the ones associated with OTA 2.8.1 that activates the feature you want.

Updating from 22177 took two long days of work. Posted the lengthy list of updates in the FDRS thread. Seeing lots of posts making me think that is another version that gets "stuck."

Mine is weird cause it says completed successfully but my sync version didn’t change. So idk.

4.2.4 isn't an update to Sync.
It's an update to your TCU module
