Power-Up 4.2.1. OTA software update installed today

Interesting. I just updated the GWM via FDRS last weekend. I experienced loss of streaming audio for the first time a couple days ago and today loss of CarPlay connectivity. I haven’t seen any other updates since the GWM.

Just hook up in FDRS.. It does one at the start of every session.

Well Truth be told my last three updates were OTA>

And now 4.2.1

Ill also let 4.2.2 hit via OTA.

Its kinda cool now that it works.

You guys know how Ive felt but Im fair. When it works its very nice and very convienent. The OTA hit on the way into the office this morning. I parked selected update now. Went inside and it was done. No way I could wait for my scheduled time ha ha.

Looks like you already got 4.2.1 (Was installed manually 4-15-23)

You show to have the APIM available now(4.2.2) so you should see it soon.

I am from the tech world, and *usually* a change in the major revision number (i.e. 3.x to 4.x) comes with significant changes. Yet... I have not seen anyone mention anything super interesting in this release. Is this yet another: "Preparing you for future greatness.." release?

I am at 3.5.4 now... the jump to 4.2.1 is the "normal" sequence for a '21, right?

Yes, that is the normal sequence. No major changes associated with that update, though. I agree with that a revision change like that should be associated with a major change, but it is not the case.

It is cool to watch the OTA process work. It's a novelty for 2021 Job 1 owners. I was able to trigger 3.5.x manually and I watched the update progress while I stood outside, looking through the window. It was kind of fun. (I also made sure the key fob was no where near the truck)

Yeah.. i got a couple OTAs when I first got the truck. I was pretty new to them still. THen I started working on the truck.

So for me its really gone full circle.. I like that my Truck can still be a normal truck now.

My 2021 has been stuck for almost 6 months. I broke down and bought a mongoose so I can get everything updated before I take it on a long trip out west in May.

Thats the issue with 21 job 1. You have to get them fully updated for OTAs to work.

I just got 4.2.1 today, 2 hours before it was set for. I had changed the hour to check to 12 PM just after starting the truck at home and headed into town. On my way the download symbol showed up, went and picked up a package and come out, it was installed. Yahoo....

Question I have is - I had a GWM update showing in FDRS and was going to get a 2 day pass when I had a couple of days off in a row. Would that update still be there or was this it?
