What’s going on everyone? So I’ve had my tremor for about 3 weeks now. I bought a brand new 22. I still have no update nor do I have the full screen Apple car play.

Another thing is, I don’t have the hands free blue cruise. The truck has the option and my for pass says active, but it doesn’t work. And yes I have tried in the freeways it says.

VIN: 1FTEW1E84NFC05849

Thanks for any input, tips and advice.

No OTA history on your truck and no OTA in queue at this time. Ford will eventually push the update out to you, but there is no way of telling when that will be and there is no way to force the update to be sent to you.

As far as Bluecruise, it should be active, but you need to have the setting on the right way for it to work. Make sure you have intelligent cruise control on, lane centering on, and lane keep assist on. If you have all three enabled, when you turn on the cruise control on a BC enabled highway, it should kick in.

Thank you for the update and the help. I don’t see intelligent at all. This is all I see.

Hello, first let me say I have been very impressed with these forums and would like to thank all that take the time to help. I have just purchased this truck a month ago and I am learning about it. My previous truck was a 2016 f350 lariat diesel, so there is a lot to know. First I would like to know if I'm update on sync and module updates. I just received my first Ota for 22S17 which I found was released in Mar 2022. This made curious how up to date I am.

Ok, maybe I am wrong and intelligent cruise control is no longer there. It does says hands-free. Just make sure lane keep assist is turned on with the button on your steering wheel when you engage cruise control.

Your current Sync version is not the latest, but it isn't ancient, either. You are a bit behind on updates. Unfortunately, there is no way to force an OTA to your truck. You are at the mercy of waiting for Ford to randomly send it out.

FYI I received update 22-PU1010-MIL-QL today. Does not have much description in the update notes.
Summary: Priority Update OTA 22-PU1010-MIL-QL for 2021 Model Year F-150 vehicles is now available. Quality Improvements Include: Shift quality improvements, failsafe cooling improvements, improvement to calibration of brake fluid viscosity algorithm.

It's a PCM update.

Edit: Actually, it updates the PCM and a few other modules, too. I can't remember which ones, but it does update several modules.

Got it, thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. For what it’s worth, my Sync 4 is version 22082, Rev 411, hands free 10-09-2022. I’m thinking I’m pretty far behind…

The last recorded OTA on your truck was 23 months ago and the update you got gave you Sync 20301 which is software from 2020 known to cause issues to these trucks where you get locked out of being able to get updates. I am confident that your truck will most likely never get an OTA without dealer intervention or your own. Your dealer needs to manually update your APIM or diagnose it as faulty and replace it with a new one. You can do it yourself it you feel you are tech savvy enough and are willing to put the time/money into doing it yourself.
I took my truck to the dealer today. I was fully expecting a run-around or something.

But, after about 5.5 hours, they called saying it was fixed. Previously, my Sync version and revision were blank. Now they read:
Code:
SYNC 4, Software Version: 22087_PRODUCT
Revision: 415
They said they applied TSB 22-2404 and it took 4 tries to "recover the APIM". Also reported that they performed APIM, Gateway, and TCU updates.

I suppose time will tell what condition I am in for the long term. I think this might be 2.3.0 update. I am not certain.

Regardless, big help to @rugedraw and this forum for all the help.

Glad to hear. You're still not up to date, but now when an OTA trigger is sent to your truck, you will get it and eventually get caught up.

Thanks for the information. I have an appointment to see if they have changed their mind and are willing to help get this thing moving forward.
