The XL Recon is a 116 load rating which is probably the same or slightly more than the factory tire. You can check the yellow tag inside your drivers door jam for factory load rating to compare.Curious how much weight you can tow with the XL Recon in this size. I would love the weight savings but don’t want to be screwed when towing.
Looks great! Thanks for those who’ve offered images and opinions! Just got mine leveled with Bilstein 5100’s at 1.6. New tires are 275/65/20 Michelin LTX AT. Seems quieter than the Hankook OEM. And ride is smoother, even though they’re LT versus P. Speedometer is off by 1-2mph. Too soon to see mileage, but I’m sure it’ll be lower. Oh well. Thanks again

Was there a noticeable difference in the ride or tire noise compared to the stock tires? We just put a set of Toyo AT3’s (P275/60-20) on my business partners truck. I am actually a little surprised the tread is as aggressive as it is on the P rated tire which is good. We have a few other trucks with the LT versions on them I thought these would be way less aggressive but they aren’t. The biggest difference is quite a bit more siping on the P rated version.![]()

It’s not the truck I drive so I don’t know for sure but he did they say they are a bit louder than the Hankook’s. My truck is the same but white, when I am do for tires this summer I will likely put the same ones or 285/60-30 AT3’s. I have more km’s on my truck but I run dedicated winter tires so my Hankooks have some life left. Was there a noticeable difference in the ride or tire noise compared to the stock tires?
Anyone running 275/65/20 without level/lift?
I see a few pages back a guy is running 295/70/18 without lift which is a bit wider and taller....just want to make sure before I pull the trigger.
Surely you lost more than 1 MPG with that much of an increase in weight?Leveled on 34 with Stock 18s. NO rubbing or Trimming.
2" Level but still about 1.5" of rake.
295/70/18 Load E (34.3). Tires alone are 63 LBS ea. Stock Tires were 37 LBS
These are the 18s that come with the non sport base lariat trim.
Larger wheel causes Speedo, Miles to E and MPG to be understated by 5.6%. I have estimated MPG loss of about 1 MPG.

I am averaging 17.8-18 mpg on my morning commute currently. 40 min , mix of 35mph-55mph zones. This is after a speedo recalibration with forscan and based on Fords onboard calculations. In stock trim I was averaging 19-19.3 mpg on this same drive. It would be worth a hand calc to validate.Surely you lost more than 1 MPG with that much of an increase in weight?
