Curious how much weight you can tow with the XL Recon in this size. I would love the weight savings but don’t want to be screwed when towing.
The XL Recon is a 116 load rating which is probably the same or slightly more than the factory tire. You can check the yellow tag inside your drivers door jam for factory load rating to compare.

Thanks for those who’ve offered images and opinions! Just got mine leveled with Bilstein 5100’s at 1.6. New tires are 275/65/20 Michelin LTX AT. Seems quieter than the Hankook OEM. And ride is smoother, even though they’re LT versus P. Speedometer is off by 1-2mph. Too soon to see mileage, but I’m sure it’ll be lower. Oh well. Thanks again

Ford F-150 Factory Wheels with Aftermarket Tire Thread 969B1934-8510-42C4-A751-6580C1205D24

Just picked up this 2022 Lariat 4x4 SuperCrew PB with the BAP. Read through all 53 pages of this and other forums regarding stock wheels with better tires and am considering either 285/60R20 or 275/65R20 With a 2” front leveling kit.

My question to all of you running the 285/60R20 setup, and checking out your awesome pics, is do the tires stick out enough from the wheel well to cause mud, salt/snow, gravel, and debris to get kicked up and scratch the paint on the truck sides behind the wheel wells? Had 35s on a prior truck that did and do not want to add fender flares or mud flaps to this new F150.

We just put a set of Toyo AT3’s (P275/60-20) on my business partners truck. I am actually a little surprised the tread is as aggressive as it is on the P rated tire which is good. We have a few other trucks with the LT versions on them I thought these would be way less aggressive but they aren’t. The biggest difference is quite a bit more siping on the P rated version.

Was there a noticeable difference in the ride or tire noise compared to the stock tires?

It’s not the truck I drive so I don’t know for sure but he did they say they are a bit louder than the Hankook’s. My truck is the same but white, when I am do for tires this summer I will likely put the same ones or 285/60-30 AT3’s. I have more km’s on my truck but I run dedicated winter tires so my Hankooks have some life left.

2.5" supreme suspensions puck leveling kit with 295/70r18 Michelin Defender's. No wheel spacers. Front sits a tad lower than the rear because I have the max tow package. (I had about 300 pounds in the bed when these pics were taken)

Mastercraft Courser Trail HD 275/65R20. First E rated tires I’ve had and I was pleasantly surprised with ride quality and noise. Love the looks of them. I took a pretty good hit on MPG’s on the interstate and town driving though 4-6 MPG loss. Normal highway of 55-62mph is a minimal MPG difference from what I’ve seen so far though. May end up selling these if anyone is interested and go back down to P rated 275/60R20. Haven’t posted them yet bc I need to get new pictures with a couple new forum rules in regards to pictures needing username and date in the picture.

Anyone running 275/65/20 without level/lift?

I see a few pages back a guy is running 295/70/18 without lift which is a bit wider and taller....just want to make sure before I pull the trigger.

Yeah, check my recent post. No rubbing, no level.

Leveled on 34 with Stock 18s. NO rubbing or Trimming.
2" Level but still about 1.5" of rake.
295/70/18 Load E (34.3). Tires alone are 63 LBS ea. Stock Tires were 37 LBS
These are the 18s that come with the non sport base lariat trim.
Larger wheel causes Speedo, Miles to E and MPG to be understated by 5.6%. I have estimated MPG loss of about 1 MPG.

Surely you lost more than 1 MPG with that much of an increase in weight?

I am averaging 17.8-18 mpg on my morning commute currently. 40 min , mix of 35mph-55mph zones. This is after a speedo recalibration with forscan and based on Fords onboard calculations. In stock trim I was averaging 19-19.3 mpg on this same drive. It would be worth a hand calc to validate.
