'21 XLT 302A here with Cloth seats, both sides require a strap pull to store the seats up/down position.

And that's the way it SHOULD work, IMO.

2022 xlt 302a. I checked last night. Neither seat requires a strap pull to lift, both to put down. I will inquire at the dealer, seems like a safety hazard if they don't lock down.

The 40 side feels like it is trying to latch down when I move it up and down, well at least it doesn't feel as smooth as the 60 side.

This is how my 2022 XLT 302A is, only need the strap to pull it down not to lift it up.
