Did it ever officially show "failed" in the PTS status or anywhere? This is good news: It will try again!

Yes it said that the update failed on 1/26. I looked at the OTA status in Chrome following @rugedraw instructions. It also said something that the update will expire on 1/31. I guess that’s when they send it again.

It's possible they sent it again. I've seen it happen many times recently.

Thanks. If it wasn't showing up on my truck as pending, I wouldn't really care. The pending message disappeared on my way home and now it just says Up-To-Date. Not sure what it's doing, but I'll probably update myself if it doesn't go through by March. I just don't want to pay Ford $50.

I bet if you toggle off automatic updates then check for updates it'll say 3.5.3 is pending again. That's what it's doing with my truck....

Finally!!!!! …after a failed update on 1/26 I got my 3.5.3 today 1/31 .

Curious if you've had wifi enabled the last couple of days and if so if you've been connecting to a wifi network

I had Wi-Fi enabled when the update failed. I got the new update with Wi-Fi disabled. When it failed I had Wi-Fi on but not connected to a network

From Ford owner website for OTA 3.5.3--Created 01/26/2023, Expiration 02/02/2023, Update Pending State Null.

Received OTA 3.5.2 early October 2022. If I'm reading the information correctly it appears that I'll not be getting 3.5.3 anytime soon and won't need to bother anyone asking for the status of OTA 3.5.3

VIN is 1FTFW1ED1MFB59560.
