Well the "latest and greatest" apparently doesn't include this:

I would say that the reason these modules haven't been updated is that there are no corresponding 'customer concerns' that would cause them to update them under warranty, and none of these have been packaged into an OTA that can be delivered that way either.

When service advisors say "You're up to date!" with that big smile as they hand over the keys...what they mean is "we've updated everything Ford will pay us to update".

‘21 XLT 302a FX4 latest update 2.7.4 Oct 15 2022.
My auto start/stop recently stopped working so I think I’m draining my battery/not getting a good charge which is not allowing for OTA updates. Only drive it 2 times a week on short trips usually, and it may sit in the garage for more than 7 days at a time. Thanks in advance gentlemen.

So I'm trying to figure this out. I'm currently on Sync 498 right now, which I think translates to 3.5.2. In the meantime, my software update center is alternating between saying I have an update available (3.5.3) and saying I'm up to date. The update now button is grayed out in both cases. Any idea what's going on? Can anyone confirm 3.5.3 is available? Vin is 1FTFW1ED5MFC78163. If it is, do I just need to let auto update handle it?

If your last OTA was 2.7.4, you are not up to date. No OTA history on your truck in the past 60 days and nothing in your queue at this time. If you want to take the drive down to Miami, we can set something up and I will get your up to date.

Well you do have an APIM in this list of available updates:

So I'd say yes. Whether or not it completely downloads is going to be the question.

3.5.3 was sent to you two days ago. As has happened to many, it downloaded the first 3 files and now it is just stuck there. Hopefully it goes through before the update times out. There is nothing you can do to help the process other than pray to the OTA gods.

Nevermind, got the answer.
Driving around in an area with three bars of AT&T coverage is the recommended way to trigger downloads.

All that is moot if you have something in the system that is keeping your OTAs from downloading, and that can only be investigated by the shop.
