After visiting 2 dealerships with no luck I am hoping someone here can help me with this. I have a brand new 2022 Powerboost 4x4 that I put a 2in level on the front end, and also replaced the factory tires to Toyo LT295/60R20 (I think they are slightly less than 1 in larger than the factory tires were). Kept original rims and nothing added to rear other than the different tires. After installing this, the onboard scale screen won't move off of zero, and on the app it says system not fucntional, take in to dealership. The first dealer near me said they wouldnt touch it over liability issues because I altered things, and after driving an hr to take it to my original dealer who said they would be able to recalibate and fix it, they were not able to. The tech said he was able to reset the ride height and payload, but when he got to some setting on the bottom of the screen, it would tell him it could not be recalibarated. He reached out to the Ford hotline and brought me their email response which I attached if anyone cares to see the details in it of his request and Ford's reply. Ford's response = remove the levelling kit and return tires to factory size. I feel like this is such a minimal change to throw this system offline like that, its not like a put a 6in lift on the truck. If someone knows what I could do to remedy this, please help.

so not to state the obvious or be a jerk but you did modify your vehicle without looking into what impacts those modifications would have on the existing systems in the vehicle and you are blaming the manufacturer for not being supportive of what you did?

unless you can code it via forscan or another means from info on this forum you maybe stuck with removing the levelling kit - I think the change in rake is causing the problem not the tires

Some dealerships are selling new trucks that already come levelled. You make it sound like I threw some 37in super swampers on there and now want to complain about it and blame Ford. But yes, I did look. The closest I could find was one guy saying he brought his truck to the dealership, they reset the suspension sensors, and the scales worked just fine after. That was not the case with me.

I have a 2" level and 35's on mine with onboard scales. I did research as well and could not find anything that said a level could affect scales. I have not towed since the level was installed. But, prior to that I got a visit dealer message when I tried to use my scales on FordPass. Yet to visit dealer to remedy that problem.

@treg00 is this happening on the dash screen, FordPass or both?

The dash screen just stays on zero and don’t move when you apply weight to the bed. No errors or warnings. On the app, it says scale system not functional, take to dealer.

If you pull up your scale screen in the truck then go bounce on the bumper you probably will see that your scales are stuck on zero too.

I put on RAS and it affected the scales tool. Any modification to the suspension will affect the scales tool. The scales tool was garbage before the RAS install, so it didn't bother me. What bothers me more is I wasted $ on the Max Tow to get the scales and all it got me was sheared axle bolts.

I'll have to try it and see. I thought I was going to have to recalibrate my speedo after I switched to 35's too. But everyday I drive by one of those little speed reminder radar trailers and the speed displayed on the radar screen matches my speedo?

I’d think you would have to. I put tires on that’s slightly less than an inch larger than factory and according to the Waze app while using cruise control, my truck is showing exactly 1 mph less than what it should. I’d think with 35s it has to be off. Try the Waze app with your cruise control on.

I would've thought so too. I'll try the Waze thing too just to confirm. Seems weird that two separate radars like these

on several occasion have my speed reporting the same as my speedo? (I pass one everyday)

Just wanted to update this thread. Scales are fixed. 3 dealerships could not do it, but a $34 cable on Amazon, and Forscan did the trick. After running the suspension sensor calibration tool in the VDM module, they work again like magic. I can't believe I wasted all that time at the dealerships when it was that easy to fix myself.

Glad to hear you got it fixed. Are you able to share the link to the cable you needed in case someone else requires the same? Or was this just a cable to link up Forscan?

Did you have to adjust any values in Forscan, or was it just a sensor calibration? I will be in your same position pretty soon here after I install my level. Unfortunately I don’t have any Forscan experience

If you just need to fix the scales, there's no value edits in Forscan, just run the following height sensor calibration tool. Before you do anything to any module in Forscan, make sure you save the as-built back up file for that module in case you ever need to put it back the way it was. Thanks @DK4 for the screenshots, I have used these several times for people asking me questions.

If you changed your tire size to something different than stock and now your speedometer and other things are off, that will involve some Forscan edits. If so, let me know and I can tell you what I did to get mine all right again.
