Rail Car Status Hell

Have the complete rail car number, but the automated phone service is god awful, and having a bored voice on my end (not a phone person) that wants to kill anyone for making a system you have to talk to is one of the circles of extrovert hell towards introverts...

Does anyone know what the touch tone code you enter for "BNSF" is? I've tried that, and it's just as horrible as talking to the moronic bot. (Following the instructions doesn't help at all)

Talking has had "Do you mean:"

PNSF

BNLL

PQNF

and god knows what else...

My railcar tracking isn't even correlating with the correct location, truck has been in TX for 12 days and it still says that it's in IL. Of course, it's sitting in a railyard and hasn't moved in nearly two weeks.

It's funny, you get through a single step and are excited for the next....just to have a longer than expected wait again.

I’ve been having the same issue but kinda confused because ford told me estimated delivery of 1/10-1/16 but the rail tracking tells me my truck will be in Lordstown Ohio December 14th….that is only 24 miles from my house

It took about a week for my truck to go from the local railyard to my dealership. YMMV

My truck is currently sitting in the local rail yard in Miami. I took a drive by today to see if I could peep the truck, but no such luck. Less than 1 week from Dearborn to Miami Fl.

Nope, doesn't do anything. Even entering it super long like the prompt says still doesn't work.

I hate phones, christ. Would rather learn how to operate a telegraph then fight with this.

Everything fails and it just attempts to transfer to a live operator so I hang up in rage

For rail tracking I’ve been calling 1-800-235-2352
When prompted say “Location”
To enter your 1st four letters, use touch tone, voice recognition sucks. So for 4 letters you need to enter 8 digits. I.e., to enter the letter B, enter 2, then 2 again since it is the 2nd letter on the touch tone. V would be 8-3.

Where is yours headed? Tracking mine has been moving relatively quickly! It made it from KC on the 6th to about 3 hours from my dealer yesterday!

Your truck is WAY BETTER OFF sitting way up high on a Rail Car!

Rather than sitting in some flooded Ford Lot somewhere waiting for chips…

I know that doesn’t help the excruciating waiting one bit.

One of my customers RUNS the rail yard where MY truck was sitting waiting for transport to the dealer and believe me… I did everything I could to arrange for me to pick it up and drive it to the dealership.

BUT... until it’s unloaded at the dealership and signed for, it’s NOT “your” truck. It’s “Ford’s”.
As much as it pains me to say so because I don’t want to encourage these heartless bastards… “it’s worth the wait”!
