My 295/70/18 Geo landers have a three-ply sidewall. Such as a B.F.G, A.Ts. And One of the Toyo A.T. Yes, they are a LT tire. There are a few load range "D" tires.

With only 1,291 miles, removed the Hankook OEMs and got Yokohama Geolandar G015 LT285/60R20 installed today at Discount Tire.

The reason I went with these was this truck will be on pavement 95% of the time except for camping on fire/dirt roads or towing a 6k lb TT half dozen or so times a year. Wanted to keep a smooth on road experience, but LT for towing. Also wanted a slightly AT look and not a street looking tire nor super aggressive tire either.

These tires are 1" taller and 3/4" wider than the stock tires. They raised the truck 1/2". GPS speeds (via Waze) at both 40 and 50mph match speedo exact. They set the air at 45psi and ride just as smooth and quiet as the OEMs. Still running in electric and mileage around town in the 21-22 range, pretty close, but hard to truly tell the impact so far on day one.

Looks great. This looks awesome and makes me happy to hear that your MPGs are still Ok and the hybrid is still functioning as should be. I’m about ready to change out my stock rims/tires for something different and although mine will be 18s my tires look to be the same width and weight.

I got 22 on the way back from the grocery tonight. Only about 4 miles, but local roads with 45max mph. Engine was warmed up and spent a good percentage in electric.
Good choice. How do they ride at highway speeds over 70mph?

Great, very little weight to balance, and quiet.

They look great and I have been looking at these as well! Are you still happy with them? I've read mixed reviews.

Just about 2k miles on the truck, so about 1k on the tires. No change in impression yet. Just did a run to the recycler since our city can't figure out how to pick it up anymore. This trip was 21 mpg for the round trip run at 72 degrees outside, only drive of the day.

So are you getting any tire rub with this setup?

Nope. None for normal driving. But then again, I don't off road and do crazy articulation on the axles, so I can't speak for someone who rock or tree crawls.

Hindsight being 20/20 - how is the mileage hit on these?

Looking at tire weight and height. Taller tires have more weight further out to turn. Curious if a stock size wheel with more weight for heavier duty is the way to go and avoid height gain for mileage.

Maybe 1-2mph. Hard to tell scientifically since I put the tires on just after I drove back from ordering dealer in PA. Added line-x after purchase & just recently added a soft tonneau cover and RAS. Just got back from lunch and snapped these:

So I’ve attached a Tire Comparison of the tires mentioned. Are the 285/60R20 33.9”….confused. Thanks

That site is generic measurements. For some reason, the Yoko GEOs are taller. You can see the truck was raised 1/2" over stock, which indicates a 1" tire increase from the stock tires.
