Cant wait to see pics man!

whats sad is not too long ago, badges were a cheap way to alter a factory vehicle for a different or unique look. last time i checked, BAP front and rear badges are what...$250 for both? oh, and then the BAP Lariat fender badges...$300. there should be no reason on gods green earth i need to spend close to $550+ on 4 pieces of plastic.
the are MSRP $165 for the BAP ones (front/rear) (you can get 20% off right now). The side ones are stupidly expensive for some plastic pieces. I think $225 each or something like that.

I know the $150 or whatever I spent was a lot for the badges, but the custom ones are around $350 or so. I just couldn't justify it.

I was going to order paint to do my side badges and mirror caps. Do you think one can would be enough? You can buy only the paint, then I was planning on using 2k clear.
I have been thinking about buying some spray paint cans plus 2k clear from either this site or kustom cans to paint my emblems satin black/space white. I was also going to use them to paint the middle strip of my lariat grille. Do you think it would work well for that application? Should I primer the grill or emblems first?

I"ll admit to my laziness, do you have the part numbers readily available? they are amongst over a 1000 pics in my phone and i cant seem to locate them.

Btw, isnt the front grill emblem a pain? dont you have to remove the whole grill from the truck?

I don't like this one. The Ford needs to be a different color to provide contrast. This may work on a black only truck but I'm not sure.
I liked the idea of that one in theory....ultimately I came to the same conclusion as you. On a black truck I think it would look hot....on any other color it would look like a black mole (at least on the back).

That is why I have not done it yet. I'm considering trying another grill and figured I would do it all at once. There is a cheap(ish) chinese one with a light bar across the top like the lightning that I'm considering. I'm sure the lights won't match and that is what is keeping me from trying it.

I think having a light like the lightning would be cool. The other options are stupid expensive for just the light (and I have yet to see one on a truck. All the product images are blatantly photoshopped if you zoom in). ala sickdeisels option.

Clearly these edges are too cripsp to be real and not paying $400 for something I can't see on a truck

Yes you definitely need primer and sandpaper. I’m trying to figure out how many cans of paint and clear I need. How much do y’all think would be needed to do the side badges and mirror caps?

so having an agate, these black emblems you got @FrankThompson would probably look great. I'm assuming these are the BAP emblems that are now packaged together instead of separately? also, i just watched a few videos, i know it doesnt look all that hard but man, removing the front end to get to an emblem looks a bit daunting. haha

I have the BAP front and rear emblems from a 18-20 truck. Fit just fine on my 22 with no front camera.

If your truck shuts off with the shutters open, you can even swap the front emblem without taking the front grill off the truck. :)

wait....how do you do that? pull the connector with them open? try to do it while its open? will they close eventually? this is interesting

i bit the bullet this morning and ordered them while the 20% off was still available. also, my shutters where open and though my hands seem too big to stick through the grill, it does seem maybe possible to get to the emblem without removing the grill BUT it looks like a pain to put things back together that way. curious to hear how @Chili did this
