i bit the bullet this morning and ordered them while the 20% off was still available. also, my shutters where open and though my hands seem too big to stick through the grill, it does seem maybe possible to get to the emblem without removing the grill BUT it looks like a pain to put things back together that way. curious to hear how @Chili did this
They had the one without the camera. I would be hesitant to attempt this on a truck with the camera without pulling the grill off. Just too much to disconnect and get back together, IMHO.

I took the top plastic trim piece off, then the 4-6 bolts holding the top of the grill / shutter assembly to the truck so I could lean it forward about 1-2". It looked like I could take the latch out for the hood and my hand would fit there, but I didn't want to deal with realigning it. My hand could then slide between the radiator and shutters. I have relatively big hands as I'm 6 2 and wear size 13 shoes so I think anyone outside Shrek's hands will fit with minor scrapes.

Once those were out I had an extension with a deep socket on it. Using a flashlight looking through the grill I just fed it through the correct shutter onto the nut. The nuts are the kind that create threads in the plastic as you tighten it. So they came out easy. I had my 1/4" rachet on it but it could probably be done just holding the extension.

For re assembly I just came at the slightest angle to the bolt/ standoff so the nut wouldn't fall out and once you have it lined up you don't need almost any pressure to create new threads in the new emblem. All in all it took maybe 20 minutes. I don't know if you can or should force the shutters open but mine were off in the horizontal position.

I don't have the camera, that may make the difference.

the one video that ive watched shows 3 nuts holding the emblem on. as far as the camera, everything disconnects at the top of the hood. (harnesses and all) but once the three nuts are off the washer pump and camera are attached separately to the emblem. at this point it'll be easier to swap the emblems taking everything apart but more risk of something going wrong. doing it the way @Chili described i think could be done with a patience and maybe someone else lending a hand.

Dude, that sucks!

Mine came so well wrapped, I'm surprised! They were in multiple levels of bubble wrap and in a box that came unscathed.

I mean the badges were in a box, kinda wrapped half ass in bubble wrap and that box was in another box but kinda loose inside of that one. just spoke with customer service though. i got to send the broken ones back and then they'll send me another set.
