Would you take your truck back to a Ford bodyshop if you saw they over sprayed paint on the bed liner. in some spots of my bed liner I noticed spots where white paint got on my bed liner. I turned in a truck to Ford to fix in a fender bender with a LineX Premium bed liner(basically newish, since I got a decked drawer system) that is about 1 year old and got back a truck with overspray. To top it off, it looks like a some of metal shavings(I suspect from grinding rivets) and some glue residue embedded in the liner.
I have power washed it once and got some of the bed to pre shop condition, but it would take multiple power washes and cleaner to clean it. I understand it is a truck bed and will take abuse, but I was expecting more from the dealership in terms of clean work.

I want to take my truck back to Ford dealership to ask them fix or clean up the bed liner, but recognize the dealership may just say I'm overreacting and not sure if they would be able to do anything.

Has anyone experienced something like this?

Absolutely!
And if insurance was involved, make sure they know that the workmanship was shitty at best.

I'd probably take it back too unless like you stated you don't think they would do anything.

Do you have any lacquer thinner or toluene? I use that for over spray. You can get it in most big hardware stores. Dampen a cloth and wipe at the over spray carefully make sure you don't get it on the new paint.

That is the plan if Ford does nothing.. I have to go back to Ford for another issue (it appears they installed a scraped/used windshield wiper arm during my recall appt that I'm having checked this week)so I figured id see what they say first then clean. Like the rust issues underneath that most us 21 f150 owners had to deal with, I'm better off cleaning it myself.

I cleaned up my truck bed before with solvent and know the bed will get dirty since its truck bed, but Im just annoyed that Ford painters don't know how to use painters tape or paper to prevent a mess.
Whatever doesn't come up, I realized a trick was to take cloth and black auto paint and dab the spots on the bed liner to cover up a spot. If I get it resprayed in the future (refresh) it will be gone, but some times you just have to let go of the idea people will have the same level of care that I do.

Its the other party's insurance who paid, but I plan on showing Ford their crappy work when I visit the dealership to fix my wind wiper arm. I don't think I'll be on the dealership's Christmas card list this year.

That's pretty spot on about people not caring the same as the owner.

The thing that kind of irked me the last time I had body work done at supposedly one of the best body shops in the area on my 2013 f150 was the fact that they used parts from a junkyard to fix it. Deer damage so it was the whole front end and one fender. This was approved by the insurance company as well. State Farm.
When I asked about why they didn't use new parts I was told it wasn't a new truck. (it was 3 years old at the time I believe)
I still have state farm but if I'm asked, they don't get my recommendation or anything good said about them.

This is why I make sure that I have OEM coverage on my vehicles. The insurance companies will absolutely use salvage parts or aftermarket parts. When my wife’s truck was rearended, we had to go through this. Fortunately, the body shop actually called the local salvage yards that the insurance company ‘quoted’ and the parts cost more than OEM or were not available.

Consult with the Line-X shop. Get their take. Heck, they may do a quick top coat for free or just a small fee and that might make you golden.
