I did as well.Anyone else just get an email from Ford stating there's a supply chain issue and now it's being delayed? Good news is they said they'd check back in with me in about 45 days ?
I'm not really that surprised, given the lack of motion that I've seen over the last week when checking the vehicle tracking and the modules websites.
I don't want to be a Ford apologist, but I understand that they're kind of stuck in a difficult position here. Their suppliers promise just-in-time delivery of components, and then fail to deliver (on time, or maybe at all, which is why we're losing options). And it's not like Ford has much ability to shop around...the way that auto manufacturing has developed over the past few decades, those suppliers are often the only game in town. And in fairness, those suppliers are probably also feeling the same helplessness in return, with THEIR suppliers failing to deliver needed parts as promised.
It's frustrating, but I understand that all auto manufacturers are facing similar challenges, so Ford doesn't seem to be any more (or less) able to deal with the issues than anybody else. That keeps me from getting too salty and deciding to try to change brands. But I understand why others are so grouchy...I really wanted this truck for use during the summer, and the lack of it pretty well spoiled my summer travel plans.
