21 F150 Lariat - bought in October last year. Having terrible nose bleeds, headaches, and vision issues. Eyes burning and getting nauseous. Wife having same issues from passenger side.

Anyone else having this issue? Would like to make contact.

Long story coming up to where we are now but now the dealer has accepted the truck back and has given me a loaner…..(for months). The dealership employees drove it and had the same symptom. - still no info or answers, yet I’m still here having all these symptoms months after.

Wow, this is a new one. Is Ford aware you're still having the symptoms after this long of not being in the truck?

Yes, I have a '21 Lariat Powerboost and at about 20k miles (i'm at 22k miles at the moment) i started getting odd smells in the cabin through the vents. At first I thought it was from outside even though I had the AC on recirculating, since the smells were different including:

- electrical burning smell
- rotten egg/natural gas smell
- exhaust fumes smell

I started coughing quite a bit and it's making me pretty sick, I took it into the dealer, they couldnt duplicate of course and there were no codes popping up. I just went ahead and paid for a front differential fluid change since i read in another forum it might be the issue.

since i got it back from the dealer, i've only had not had the rotten egg smell which was the primary smell i was getting prior to going into the dealer, I only get exhaust fumes smell. my wife was in the truck recently and she's telling me to get rid of the truck since its making me cough and overall just feeling sick.

then i read somewhere else where something is being kept open from the AC and that's how the fumes is making it's way in and to change AC from windshield/top/feet. so i switched my AC from body to body and feet and for about 150 miles, I have not had the smell.

hope you keep me updated on what the smell is, i have a different thread for it also.

The dealer hasn’t been able to find out the problem on mine. I have a nose passage that has been damaged. I was having headaches. They put me in a loaner a 2019 and I haven’t had any problems. But the damage is done.

I think I read in another thread that a technician discovered that the vent tube from the front differential was mysteriously (and mistakenly) mounted where it's fumes were being sucked into the HVAC/Cabin.

Just pointing the possibility out.

Something similar would happen on the Gen12 F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost if the vacuum pump mounted on the back of the passenger side head would start leaking. The oil would drip on the hot head and exhaust system and burnt smoke was entering the cabin right at the HVAC fresh air intake.

Not sure if related… but since day one (~16k miles now) has had this foul moldy smell when I first get in it and run AC … fades after a few minutes and windows down. haven’t taKen it in, but been meaning to check cabin filter to see if water is getting to it or something, idk?

On my truck you couldn’t see anything fit your eyes and nose would burn. Almost like cutting a onion. And your eyes would water.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

If in fact true, and I am not questioning it, I’d be getting this looked into by someone other than Ford to begin with to document any issues for a number of reasons.
