Tried to search through the forum to see if anyone else has encountered this, but no luck yet. Perhaps just the wrong search terms.

Yesterday evening when driving home, it had just rained for the first time in a while so was extremely humid, and I noticed that the outside of my windshield right in the center at the base was fogging up, as if the defrost was on. However, the defrost vents were not selected, only the footwell and dash vents. This morning, got in the truck, and noticed the same thing. Upon closer inspection, any time I have the footwell vents selected, there is a considerable amount of air that comes out of the center of the windshield defrost vent, and the vents on the sides of the dash for defrosting the side windows. I can switch between the three vent settings and notice an increase at the windshield, but the amount coming out of the side vents is similar to that amount coming out when defrost alone is selected.

No clue how long it has been doing this, as it hasn't really been humid enough lately to cause the windshield to condensate. I always have the airflow directed to dash vents and footwell. Anyone else notice this or know what might be going on? Thanks!

Just for clarification…which vehicle is this on?

Airflow out of the defrost section when defrost is not selected would generally suggest to me a stuck actuator or missing insulation somewhere allowing airflow it doesn’t belong, but if this is your 2022 it’s presumably under warranty, make Ford sort it out.

Yes, my 2022 F150 Lariat, so under warranty.

I just have no clue if it started yesterday or has been that way the whole time I've had it. The change in weather is just what made me notice it.
