At this point I am confident I'm home-free and that makes me one of the lucky ones. Especially when you check my order date. Next week, June, July... I'm good. The longer I wait, the bigger my down payment, is how I'm choosing to look at it. It could be much worse, IMO.

That's exactly where I'm at. I'm 5 months in and I'm finally at the point after all the ups and downs of not getting scheduled then having my build week pushed, and being on chip hold, then not and being built.....I don't have the energy to care anymore haha. I'll get excited when the dealer calls and tells me to come get it. Until then, Ill keep working on that down payment. At this rate, I might be able to save enough to just pay cash.

I won't be paying cash outright unfortunately, but between down-payment and trade-in, I'll be putting down a considerable amount, which helps take the sting out of watching interest rates climb.

A little sleuthing leads me to conclude my truck made it by rail to Hammond, Indiana yesterday, where the CN car it was on interchanged onto IHB RR lines. No update yet on ordertrack, which makes me think I may not get any kind of shipping updates until it arrives at the dealership? I guess we'll see.

All from Kansas have, but only a couple from Dearborn have. Lots of us are on chip hold until October.

Ford tracker shows "Built" but not shipped
Order Track shows "delivered"

Per my request Chip@Granger just sent me a pic of my payload sticker so I KNOW it is at the dealer and I exceeded the payload rating I was hoping for (wanted to meet the 1729# of my current 2005 XLT, the new Lariat even with full-power tailgate is rated for 1848# )

So, it's obvious that Ford Tracker can 'lag', not keeping up with latest reality. The independent Order Track seems to have been spot-on with updates.

And so my tracking days are done, I sincerely wish the very best for everyone in your F150 delivery sagas, have hope!

So how are you finding out when you get on chip hold? From what I have seen in other posts, it seems you spend 2 or 3 days in production status and find out more info from there. My blend date was last Thursday (5/12) and the modules showed up last Friday (5/13), but all Ford will tell me is that it is still in production. How/when did you get a chip hold notification? My dealer can't tell me anything other than it is still in production either. I did get a factory spray in bed liner, but doesn't seem like that should delay anything for 4 extra days. Thanks again all!

Most of us found out from Ford chat. Sadly you'll get a different response almost every time you try it. Gone from:

1) Here's your build day
2) You don't have a production week or vin
3) ETA for truck is June 6-13 no holds
4) ETA for truck is Oct 9-15 chip hold

My dealer did confirm I'm on chip hold and SAME Oct ETA. I gave up asking them.

Hmm okay. I asked Ford chat yesterday and they just said it was still in production. I guess I am in limbo until I get a different answer.

I just talked to my dealership and they said all of their F-150 custom orders are on chip hold currently.
