NICE! Glad to see someone else take this on. Looks goodI too did the swap to the Tremor skid plates. It was an involved process but totally worth it imo.

Is that as far back as the skid plate goes?I bought the RTR skid plate and it doesn't fit. It would need significant modification to look good. There's about a 1 inch gap between the bumper and the lip of the skid plate. The curve around the front of the bumber is a different radius as well, so it's just a bad fit all the way around. I think it looks like crap and I wont put it on. I've got a 2021 F150 XLT

Yes, that is where the bolt holes line up with the plate. You could drill new holes in the plate and cut down some of the metal where it meets the bumper, then slide it back a bit and I think it would fit better. .Is that as far back as the skid plate goes?
I have 2 questions,What's up everybody.
New to the group, but thought I'd post up some info that I put together from swapping the Tremor Skid Plate to my Lariat 5.0.
I've posted about this on a few of the Facebook groups, but for those that are not part of these, figured I would share for as well.
Parts are as follows:
![]()
Left/Right Valence Pieces -
ML3Z-17626-DA
ML3Z-17626-AB
Center Lower Bumper Piece -
ML3Z-8419-DAPTM (requires paint)
Center Lower Bumper Piece Bracket (Not required to make the swap work, but including to complete the list)
ML3Z-8419-A
Skid Plate -
ML3Z-5D032-B
Frame Brackets for forward plate mounts -
I used eBay special "raptor skid plate brackets" (Recommend painting these as they are cheaply coated and prone to rusting)
M6 Spring Clips - Used (2), but I would get a pack of 10
M6-1.0x25 Bolts - Used (4), but I would get a pack of 10
(2) of each of the above were used for mounting the rear of the plate to cross member, and the other (2) bolts were used on lower bumper piece
In order to complete the swap, you will need to remove the active air dam assembly from the truck. Also, to access all of the factory lower valence nuts, I would recommend removing all the fog light bolts to loosen those assemblies. Some of the nuts you can access from the backside of bumper some from fog light openings.
Copying @M4X post on the air dam removal as I did not take any photos during the process.

Still have access to removing the oil filter/etc as needed.
My truck is lifted (4" Zone Offroad kit), so I did have to modify the skid plate in order for it to fit above the cross member drop bracket (had to cut the belly of it)

Thank you everyone, and Happy Modding!
Did you have the silver part above the skid plate painted or did you do it yourself?I too did the swap to the Tremor skid plates. It was an involved process but totally worth it imo.

I painted it myself and it was very easy and it turned out great. I used this paint:Did you have the silver part above the skid plate painted or did you do it yourself?
Looks GREAT!!! Very clean factory look, love it. My truck was just recently built and being shipped now.I too did the swap to the Tremor skid plates. It was an involved process but totally worth it imo.

From all the parts you listed, can you tell me which ones I'll NEED to do the swap? Can I use any existing brackets or hardware or do I need to purchase those too? What's up everybody.

Everything, except what I noted was not required in parenthesis. Now granted you don't have to buy packs of hardware(could get individually), but it was cheaper to buy the packs for me.From all the parts you listed, can you tell me which ones I'll NEED to do the swap? Can I use any existing brackets or hardware or do I need to purchase those too?
Looks much cleaner and smoother than the lower air dam/lower valance.NICEWhat's up everybody.

Does this look like the brackets, bolts, and clips I need?Everything, except what I noted was not required in parenthesis. Now granted you don't have to buy packs of hardware(could get individually), but it was cheaper to buy the packs for me.
One thing to note, the eBay raptor brackets I purchased are starting to rust. I would not recommend using these due to possibly causing additional corrosion due to the cheap material used and/or coating on the bolts (Just my $.02).
