you actually get an upgraded rear axle (max tow & PB that I'm aware of)
Just MaxTow. PB without that just gets 9.75 std axle. Verified easily now that '21+ 9.75 HD has distinctive external visual cues.

The biggest reason we do not give out the original Certificate of Origin is because customers could sell that vehicle as a new vehicle. This would in return take away our rebates and Ford would fine us once they found out.
Oh wow! No worries in that regard for Tom and Chapman Ford of Horsham. I would never be able to order another almost fully loaded King Ranch like mine in these days of commodity, chip and module shortages if I pulled a stunt like that. Thanks for the feedback.

@Granger Ford are they forcing lay flat and multi-contour seat delete on the platinums that are ordered but don't yet have a vin? If so, does that modify the deposit rules? I ordered that truck for those features and I'd continue to wait until available. However, if Ford is forcing them to be deleted, then that's no longer the truck I ordered or want. Hopefully they allow us to wait, but based on what they did with the parking assist, I'm guessing this is a forced issue.

I agree the Forced delete of options included as standard in the Platinum and other models is tough to take.

We all ordered our trucks based on the order guide from Ford. Our decisions on what models to order were based on that information. Now Ford is deleting standard options that have Platinum models being built with the features of Lariat models at a premium cost.

The lack of communication and transparency from @Ford Motor Company is very disappointing.

I believe @Granger Ford is much better than other dealers at trying to keep their customers informed on all the challenges.

Thanks for the response! Are the fold flat the same way? I in no way want to cancel my order, but if Ford creates a Platinum badged Lariat via part removal, while keeping most of the platinum price, I probably will. I also have BAP so I already figured I'd likely get rolled to MY23. I'm just trying to figure this out and I really appreciate how involved and helpful y'all are being on these boards!

Interesting on Ford retaining the Black Leather Multi-contour full motion seats.

Unless I am missing something the letter to the dealers that I was provided seems to state that Multi-contour full motion seats need to be removed and Ford will remove that option from your order if your dealer doesn't.

I certainly hope your information is more recent than mine as losing the seats is concerning.

Multi-Contour Seat Removal (91X)
  • Vehicle orders with Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion® (Driver and Passenger) (included on 601A, 700A, 701A, and 900A) will require Multi-Contour Seat Removal 91X through the remainder of the 2022 model year. The window sticker will reflect a credit in the amount of $300 for “Multicontour Seat Removal”
  • Note: Mutli-Contour Seats with Active Motion® Removal is Late Availability on 601A and will require taking the steps below once available.
  • Dealers should communicate with retail and fleet customers regarding changes required to their orders. Following this communication, dealers should add Option Code 91X (Multi-Contour Seat with Active Motion® Removal) to F-150 retail & fleet unscheduled orders (excluding Gov’t) by May 8th, 2022. Those orders that are not updated by May 8th, 2022 will be amended by Ford to include Multi-Contour Seat with Active Motion® Removal (91X) on May 9th, 2022.

@Granger Ford given the language in the letter, can you give some insight as to multi contour seats for the King Ranch? What does "late availability" mean if it gets deleted from my order by Ford? Last I saw, I was a priority 02. Thanks for any clarification! Ya'll have been great!

Do we need to reach out to your team to get it changed or are you guys reaching out to everyone with outstanding orders with Carmelo seats?

Maybe I didn’t read it carefully, but it sounded like the massaging feature was right out.
I understood it as well that they are removing that entire feature but the post above by Granger makes me want to clarify...

There's been a lot of confusing information sent out by Ford but this is the definitive answer I could find.

Changes required to their orders,
Active Park Assist 2.0 removal
Auto Start/Stop Removal
Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion
Max Recline Seats
Carmelo Interior
Adaptive Steering

Unscheduled vehicle orders with the Max Recline Seat option will not be
selected for scheduling. (Later on Ford however states that) Those orders that are not updated by May 8th, 2022 will be amended by Ford to remove the Max Recline Seat option (91S) on May 9th, 2022.

All of these items unfortunately must be removed by May 8th or will be changed by Ford May 9th.

If you are a Granger Motors customer, Chip has or will soon reach out to you to resolve these issues.

I know how much everyone here loves numbers and I wanted to pass along some sales and availability statistics, that should give you a window into Ford’s production. The chart below is a representation of Ford's Sales and Inventory. Sales shows how many units have been delivered at the dealership to a customer and inventory shows how many units Ford is prepared to ship/in-transit/or on dealer lots. This is a representation of approximately 250 dealers in our Midwest region.

As you can see, The XLT and Lariat are leading the pack and are likely to be built faster than other builds. This is mainly based on orders/commodity restrictions. If you have a King Ranch, Platinum, or Limited order in, please be prepared for a wait. We're hoping to see Ford smooth out the commodity issues going into the 2023 Model Year, but time will tell.
