Nothing at all. No changes whatsoever. I guess they are too busy delivering April builds.

Same - I don’t even look. No reason to stress over something that Ford doesn’t care about. I paid the balance for my topper today. It’s been sitting at the shop since February- it was produced and shipped on schedule. They’re nice enough to just hold on to it for me.

No action. I have actually lost all interest in my truck. Ford really sucked the fun out of this one.
Same.
In the meantime, I’m going to need to spend money on repairs on my old car to keep it road worthy.
Ford really screwed up here.

Some of the chip hold trucks from my build week of 3/28 are getting their chips, one guy got his built email this morning. So only 2 weeks on hold. How many in this group are on chip hold? I am losing my cool being on hold for 2 weeks without any communication from Ford, dont know how you all handle it.
This post isn't meant to rub salt, im just curious if Ford is allocating chips fairly, which I doubt they are

My truck has been built since 1/19/22. Sitting waiting for chips. Trucks built in April are getting chips. Ford knows they have pretty much sold orders sitting out in the field and don’t care to get them to customers.

It amazes me they would put chips in April trucks. I certainly hope I get mine soon, but I recognize how ridiculously unfair it is

I am sure the reason new builds get the chips is that it is more cost efficient just to run the line and get completed trucks ready to ship. There is a lot of labor cost involved in pulling a truck back from the lot and opening it up to add missing modules. Also, keep in mind that many of us who have been waiting for January builds got some great deals on the trucks that aren't available anymore and there have been three price increases since we ordered so if you add in the labor to finish ours, Ford is making thousands more on each of the new builds than they would on ours. Kind of sad...

That’s been my theory for awhile. Trying to make us wait to beat out the clock of us abandoning or re ordering to lose our deals

Yup...abandoned vehicles get sold at the new prices without the end of year deals...

I understand the labor of pulling trucks back in to complete, but there are trucks that were on hold for 2 weeks that are now being completed. How does someone at Ford not realize the possible PR nightmare they are creating by ignoring costumers that have been on hold for 3 months while completing trucks that were built just weeks ago?

If they aren’t scheduling any f150 builds for 4/18 week I sure hope they’re putting their efforts into catching up on chip holds.

Just to make the suck worse…even if a truck gets its chips doesn’t mean it’ll move. Mine is complete. It is not on a chip hold and has been awaiting shipment for almost two months. Ymmv but although getting off chip hold is progress it doesn’t guarantee the truck will move from the rust pen.

I totally understand the business decision. I’m just irritated (like everyone else). Ford has totally taken the joy out of this experience.
