Feb 2022 F150 lariat powerboost

noticed coolant leak on 23rd March, dealership took a look, kept the truck and gave us a rental, emergency ordered the part.

Got the truck back yesterday 14th April, seems ok at the minute, will update with any changes.

Ok - got it. Blend is the date the truck was "roughly/majorly" built (it's on the window sticker at the top, near the center, ignore the first digit and then it's year/month/day) or for mine it's 2021/12/19 :

Do you know if the part was ordered (and the approximate date, if it was)?

Great, thanks -- my blend is 220211223 and the Dealer says it was ordered on March 28, 2022. I had 1,237 miles on the truck when it started overheating on March 2 7 and it has been at the dealer since March 28.

in my experience, the case worker could not help get the part quicker.

only in making sure your wait is as pleasant as possible (rental, loaner, etc...)

That's a good question. Once your truck hits your dealer, I'd ask their service dept. to check the part number. if it's ML3Z-5A212-S, then I'd consider not taking possession of it and have them emergency order the correct part, which is either ML3Z-5A212-V for a 6.5 foot bed or ML3Z-5A212-W for the 5.5, which seems to be the more popular part and takes longer to get.

Talked to parts guy today and was told 144 (V parts) on back order and 60 going out this week. I'm not given where I'm at on the list, just a total number of each. Being that I'm at 6 weeks since ordering the part, hopefully I'm close to getting one shipped in. Fortunately my leak has been minor and I'm still on my first gallon of coolant from the dealer (in the last few weeks).

Ford case worker was no help for me. Got them through PM'ing the Ford Motor user here. Got you added to the infamous list below.. Good luck!
