The more pics I look at pics 35 or 20 over the rears is almost too dark. Might just have to stick with doing 20% on the front windows and be happy with it. Spuds truck looks damn good! Would putting like 50% over the rear windows make it just a tad darker or no?

That looks really good, so you could for sure tell the back is a bit darker just by adding 70% on it?
To me it is darker, but not so dark I can't see at night.

I really don't have any side by side pics, but this is close. The tinted pic is full sun whereas the no tint is partly cloudy.

I'm older now and don't see as well at night as I use to so I not like it too dark, just a nice tint has worked well for me. I did what state law allows which is just a bit lighter than the rear and I'm very happy with it.

While I was at the tint store there was a lady there having to have hers redone due to it being too dark for state law. State Troopers had ticketed her for it but if you get it fixed you don't have to pay. If you don't they can ticket you each day they see you.

I Got the ceramic heat reflective type which helps during the summer months down here in the south. Also not trying to block being able to see anything inside my truck when up close.

So do you think 15% front or 20% would match better if I go 70% on the rear windows?

I think tint % is a personal preference. I like what I did. Your best best is to find someone in your area that has different %s and see what you like. My main preference was ceramic to block the stupid heat down here. I also don't mind people being able to see in if they are close and I didn't want police tint where you can't see at night.

XPEL Ceramic 20% front, 35% over the rear. It’s not difficult dark, but it definitely took some getting used to.

that's unfortunate, sunroofs are usually the flattest piece of glass and easiest to tint on some vehicles.
It's because it's tempered glass, the tint can cause it to heat up more than it would without it and if the glass has imperfections it can break. What I've been told by multiple local shops/have read, but then shops in Texas do sunroofs so who knows. Not trying to drive that far for a sunroof tint though.

in FL windshield tint is illegal, but I'm wondering if like 70% is even noticeable and how much heat it would cut down (@UGADawg96 have talked about the FL issues in another chat, The cops around here don't like it where I live, so I'm careful).

My last truck I got tan seats because of the heat. I had a ton of dye transfer and it was a PITA to maintain compared to the black leather in my Solstice, so this time around I went back to black leather. I really need something to cut down on the heat in the truck, and I don't like to depend on the remote start to cool the truck down every time. I mainly use a full sun screen kit from weathertech to block all the windows, but when I'm out and a about it's a PITA to set up, so I don't. I normally just put them back up when I get home and I don't expect to go out the next day (I work from home)

This looks pretty dark for being 20% in the front I don’t think I would want much darker. It also looks to match pretty well with the 35% in the back. I think I’m gonna go with this and the 70% on the windshield and 35% on the sunroof.

Ceramic windshield tints at 65-70% aren't very noticeable, I'd guess your tint guys have theirs done and you can ask to see their windshield before getting it done.

Damn it must be the pics but 35% on the back doors looks like limo tint to me. I am just trying to find the happy medium. I think the 70% looks pretty good. I just want it a tad darker than factory. I wish someone had 50% so I could see that too

That's 20% Llumar tint, it's not ceramic. It's a fantastic tint but if you want heat repelling it's not the same level as ceramic. And 15% eyebrow.
Nice! We may consider that!

Yeah I know what you mean about the rear windows not being quite dark enough, that is why I think I am leaning towards the 35% over it and then doing 15% on sides....I think it would be a pretty good match.
That is becaue of the other windows letting the light in. Do the others, back will seem darker.

Talk to the installer. They have all the experience and suggestions you will need.

Yeah I just had mine done same as yours 20% front and 15% strip. It looks good but sometimes I think the front looks darker than rear. Lol. I will probably go back and do 70% on two rear sides and 50% on back glass. I wouldn’t really want my front any darker after driving last night. I must be getting old! Your truck looks awesome btw man!
