I wonder when we should realistically expect our FordPass apps to show that sign of life with the “activate button” if we’re still in our early may window. I’m betting on early april.

I wonder when we should realistically expect our FordPass apps to show that sign of life with the “activate button” if we’re still in our early may window. I’m betting on early april.

Mine showed up 10 days ago followed by a built email the following couple days and a deliver window of next week followed by an apology letter pushing back my delivery estimate to mid May. Not enough rust on it yet is my best guess.

I’m curious to know what the dealers know about this random message popping up when I bring up the tracker:

“Notice”

“Due to a combination of high demand and global supply-chain constraints, not all models and trims or features may be currently available. We want you to have the Ford you deserve and are doing all we can to deliver it with all of your chosen features. Please contact your dealer for any questions about inventory and future availability.”

Maybe Job 2 changes? Limited availability on chip heavy options? GM was doing that with heated seats, steering wheels, tech options, etc. I hope Ford’s not going to do this.

Right? lol I was just thinking out loud before, and I’m hoping I’m wrong. But with all the supply constraints affecting production, maybe this is Ford’s way of saying we can build your vehicle, but you may have a longer wait if you want certain features.

I’ve been seeing the Activate button in the app since 1/12. My truck still hasn’t left Dearborn.

After reading the Ford pop-up, I'll be contacting my dealer in the AM. My initial guess is he'll say he's not aware of any changes to my order...blah blah blah. There are a few things I could care less about if they start dropping "options" (I bought a dealer PowerBoost stock order that had a few things more than I really wanted anyway). But if they start dropping items from the 502A, cut back the generator size or delete the moon roof, it's adios Ford. This was more of an impulse buy anyway, so I can live without it.

Not to mention they are producing plenty of vehicles with all the options as we speak. Late February and March builds are delivering. I don’t think they will be pulling options off of ours.

So close.... Today my dealer took delivery of an F150 that has VIN just 4 away from mine (exact same numbers except its VIN ended with 76...mine ends with 72). No idea what it is, the VIN doesn't show on the dealer website, so I'll assume it was an order. Close, but no cigar. Grrrr
