Unbelievable. And here’s what my dealer’s service rep (and I use that term very loosely) just texted me :60 seconds apart. Is anyone in this company competent?
The other shoe drops. Called my service manager today to see if there had been any progress on a rental car and he started talking about how the part is backordered and could be 30 days before it comes in, but he’s seen some back ordered parts take as long as two months. I said “wait, on Monday you told me 2-3 days” and he said “Well, there were some parts in the system on Monday, but they must have been taken and it’s now backordered and I can’t give you a delivery date”. Scheduled to get a rental tomorrow afternoon. Good grief.

Can someone look at this picture and tell me what the circled area means? This is from the official 2022 Ford F-150 owners manual. Is it the capacity of the two coolant reservoirs plus what's in the system?

Here's the latest. Got a call from the parts dept today. They received a call from Ford Motor regarding my case. Looks like I'll be getting mine soon. The supplier is sending 48 more pieces out this week. They either first go to a "Depo", which I assume stands for depository, then from there gets shipped to Ford Motor and then from there to the dealers. Sometimes they go straight to the dealers. There has been a labor shortage as well. He did say that the original parts number of ML3Z-5A212-S has been changed to ML3Z-5A212-V, which is indicative of using a different supplier due to an issue with the original one. And while he's not 100% sure, it might be because of a bad sensor on the exchanger. So there you go. That might explain why the leaks are so random.
They got new part installed today and I just picked up truck. Drove 10 miles home and crawled underneath when I got home and no evidence of leaks thus far. Will keep an eye on it over the weekend and report back.

Yes, it should not take long to get it installed. I had mine out and mounted back in, in about an hour or so. Its 4 bolts and a nut, re-attach the coolant hoses and the sensor cable, refill the coolant reservoir and you're good to go! Too bad, that when i took mine apart I had to install back the faulty part. Imagine, I would have had a new part handy, my truck would have been fixed weeks ago...
