So long time no see. Finally have an update.
So a new dealer (The one I bought the truck from, not my local dealer) has had the truck about the last month. They replaced the "leak detection Module". It was on back order for awhile and once they got it in, one of the service managers took it home and put about 300 miles on the truck. I got it back today. So far no code (fingers crossed). The tech notes state that they ran a number of leak tests and 1. Found bubbles coming out of evap leak detection module while leak testing. 2. Found vapor hose at fuel pump not seated and leaking. 3. Found the filler neck metal pipe clamp not in the correct place (The notes say "not even on the pipe"). I'm assuming this means it was higher on the mating surface, instead of on the hose itself securing it to said mating surface.
So long story short. Sure seems like kelly ford was incompetent. I've got really high hopes that it's finally fixed. Overall it sure seems like this dealership has their sh*t together FAR more. I'm happy to have found someone it seems I can rely on. We'll see if my praises hold true.
Ford corporate offered to reimburse me for my last loan payment. Since they've had it so long. I've taken them up on that obviously. I'll update this thread more if it reoccurs. If I don't, then consider it fixed.
