Mine does this also. Not sure if I was being bullshitted but the dealer told me they all do this - its where the muffler is supposed to drain.
I've drilled a small hole in the lowest part of the muffler on every vehicle I've owned in the past 50 years. Drainage hole insures there is no water in the muffler. Have you observed some vehicles pouring a lot of condensation from their exhaust pipe when pulling away from a stop light? This tiny hole will prevent that. I've never had to replace a muffler. I can't believe I just revealed my age.

Read that the recall covers 180,000+ trucks at this point, so a lot of vehicles. Around 27 documented driveshaft failures attributed to damage from sagging insulators too.
Still waiting on repair parts for the one we are buying, a little bummed as it was supposed to be my Xmas present to myself and my old Fusion was going to be the Xmas present to our 16-year old. Had we closed the sale a day earlier, I’d have the truck but be worried about the recall so it will all work out.

At least they figure only 10% of the recalled trucks will actually have a problem.

The recall applies to my truck. I just crawled under and checked it. Nothing is loose or sagging, so I’ll wait until I need something else done, even a tire rotation.

Same here! Got to an agreement on numbers and then was told there was a stop sale. I’m hoping sooner rather than later!

We don’t have it yet. We were informed Tuesday (12/21) that the truck was subject to a recall and that the parts were ordered. Update on Thursday afternoon (12/23) was that the parts were not yet in. They ordered the repair parts for several trucks in one PO but are preparing for a large number of these when the recall letters actually go
out in January..
Dealer was closed Friday-Sunday (today) for Xmas. The inventory manager we work with is a straight shooter, he’ll give me an update tomorrow. He looked at getting us into a 2022 model that came in but the numbers didn’t work and the color was meh compared to the 2021 that is held up..

I found the one over the axle loose the day after bringing it home when i checked everything out underneath. Am about to get under it again today. Never got a recall yet, but we play second fiddle up here in Canada anyways....

Just crawled under my Oct build Lariat. Sure enough- it was loose and had a small burn mark from hitting the exhaust and the driveshaft had very faint signs of rubbing. Just sitting there it wasn’t sagging enough to touch anything. I haven’t received the recall yet.
Obviously I can’t let it wait so it was either cut it off or do an interim fix.
I chose option 2.
There are two threaded nuts in the floor so I used two large washers and two “Christmas tree” push pins into those nuts. Then I went around the insulation with foil tape. Hopefully that holds until I get the recall. If it holds I may leave it. But I’ll carry a pair of cutters and check it periodically.
1,400 miles.

I got mine checked today (built July at Dearborn). Mine has sagging insulator and there is a mark on the driveshaft so they ordered a new driveshaft (backordered) and rivets (to fix the sagging insulator). No idea when the parts will arrive. When I checked after getting the truck back, it appears they've temporarily glued the insulator but I did see the mark on the driveshaft.

Mine is on the recall list as well. XLT Powerboost but I checked and everything looks fine so far. Trucks barely a month old with <600 miles.
I am already dreading the service at the dealership just to get this thing in. My lumbar support broke a day after I picked up the truck but called the dealer a week later... They're 3 weeks out on appointments and no loaners available. My first appointment, the service tech confirmed I'd be in an out in 1-2 hours just to have them diagnose the lumbar issue but as soon as I arrived, they wanted me to leave the truck for a week without a loaner so I had no choice but to reschedule.
I hope the list of issues stop here.
- lumbar support broke
- screen randomly goes out and back on. (This has only happened on two occasions)
- Now this recall.
My experience with Ford's service has been crap so far so not looking forward to getting this recall worked on.

Repair parts are in, dealer is hoping to have it completed tomorrow. Mine only needs the insulators secured though - it’s brand new so no issue with the drive shaft.

Had this happen to my Lariat 502a PB. Purchased the truck in January of 21. Funny thing is that I am not getting a notification of a recall when I look it up.

I got the recall and took it to the dealer last week before a cross country trip to Birmingham. Thought better safe than sorry. Your pic is the best depiction of the issue. Thank you (all) for sharing

The dealer said I was their first, they did not have the rivets needed to fix so did what they could (do not know what that means) and order the rivets. I'll get after 1st of year likely and glad went in to get checked.

My truck was built 1/21, bought 4/21 has 11,000 miles on it.
