My new order with Chapman has Code 10 on the DORA, the previous dealer was Code 19, so may be able to gauge how long it takes for VIN's to be issued and build weeks assigned..

One good thing about cancelling with the other place and going thru Chapman, I'm not in the short holiday week build! No starting the party at 8am on Wednesday before the plant shuts down while my truck is on the line!

Best priority dealer can put is 10, means already sold order.

After the Chapman thing I was content with just getting truck built in Dec and moving on. But that last one involving incentives proved he was just stringing me along. It’s ok though, I got a 5.0 and 3.73 locker in new order from Chapman and saved $1500 in process

Nice score, I picked one up about 10 days ago from Chapman, they honored everything they said. Not a fancy boutique dealership but nice to deal with.

My dealer just sent me a text that said “Ford has locked in a build day, 12/21”. I asked if that date ever moved, and he said when you have a scheduled week, it can get pushed forward or back, but once the DAY is locked it, he’s never seen it move.

I was only notified of the build week last Thursday. Seems pretty quick based on everything I’ve read in these forums.

3 weeks out I Highly doubt your "build day" is locked in. That may be your projected blend day, but the build day will depend on a actual Blend date and sequence number when your window sticker is populated. i have not seen a Blend day and actual Build on same day yet. usually 1-2 days.

I have the exact same config as you and was also originally scheduled for 12/6 but was bumped to 12/13. I'm wondering now if I will be bumped again to 12/20 like you were.
I checked with my sales guy yesterday and I'm still on schedule for the week of 12/13. I guess I'll know sure by late next week.

3 weeks out I Highly doubt your "build day" is locked in. That may be your projected blend day, but the build day will depend on a actual Blend date and sequence number when your window sticker is populated. i have not seen a Blend day and actual Build on same day yet. usually 1-2 days.

I was waiting for this truck but good thing is I decided not to lego 2021, ford is very unreliable these days, including the final product. Have so many issue with my 21, only 400 miles on truck. Even TFL saw some glitches on new Maverick

blend date is, when they put order in assembly line bins for final production.

Blend date is the date Your parts hit the factory floor for assembly. build day is usually 1-2 days after. The window sticker will populate 7-10 days out from build week, that will narrow down your build day.

A google search gave me this though...

" You should get your window sticker about a week before your "blend" date. Blend is the point where the chassis and body meet on the assembly line to go through final assembly. The work on the body and chassis has already begun a few shifts before this date. "
