Reverse Braking Unavailable

I have seen some thread posts on the “rear brake unavailable” warning. I have also read that some owners had the indicator come on after they had a Line X bed liner sprayed. Well, it is happening to me now. I took my truck in today to get a bed liner sprayed and when I got in and put the truck into reverse, the indicator came on. I know there is a TSB out and I will be making a trip back to the dealer again this week.

Same here, just had a LineX sprayed in and getting the same error message.

I have a schedule service appointment and had to let the service advisors of the TSB. Hopefully they correct it.

The TSB is 21-2249.

Having the same problem since I had my liner sprayed. The dealer was finally able to look at it yesterday. I made them aware of the TSB. Picked it up and it wasn't fixed. Unfortunately they didn't give me a copy of the ticket so I have no idea what they did, if anything. I got in the truck and every driver assistance feature was turned off. When I turned them on again, the error was there when I put it in reverse.

They will be getting a call on Monday

Took it back to the dealer again this morning and it's fixed now. They said they had to do an IPMA alignment procedure.



Uhh, the TSB I handed you last Friday said exactly that...

I didn't argue or question it. Didn't have the energy.
