Stopped by a lot to see how the factory bedliner looks because on the build-a-truck part of the website they list plugs in addition to the drop in bedliner. A 21 XL Supercab with the STX package MSRP'd at $46k but had a second sticker.. "Market Adjustment Price $5,000" for a total of $51,000

I thought only Hellcats and ZL1 Camaro's demanded that kind of extra coin...

ANY market adjustment that anyone would pay, I don't think you will ever get that money back when it's time to trade in or sell out right.

And if you total it, you better hope you got good gap insurance..

I think this place is also owned by the Toyota dealer across the street who prices some 2yr old used cars for $2-3K over what new MSRP is for same model

Based on the current environment and the fact that these ADM's are the norm apparently, outside of folks on forums like these, there are more than enough people willing to pay them. I know on my truck the difference was nearly $13k from a Lariat on the lot vs the Platinum I ordered (from a different dealer). Now I was born late but not that late...ultimately to each there own but that's just crazy to me

I read an article that some dealers and manufacturers are enjoying this shortage. No more incentives, people are ordering more so dealers don't have to keep as much in stock and are getting MSRP and more for it. In this area at least, no dealer will give X-plan pricing, and only discount off MSRP I'll get is retired military. And neither Ford nor Ram dealers would trade for a 2021 I was interested in (Hey, if they are willing to drive 300 miles for it, knock themselves out).

Yet, looking at online inventories, there are lots of 21's left around..

Markups are out there, not uncommon when vehicles are hard to get.

All the online "inventories" for dealers in my area are all inbound units with a small percentage actually on the lot.
