I thought it might be worth it to some if i mentioned a few of the things I’ve noticed after one week in my Platinum. Also worth mentioning that I’m coming from a 20 year old Chevy Trailblazer so YMMV.

- The ride is a little stiffer than I expected. I feel a lot of the road and am hoping it’s just due to low mileage and needing to be broken in a little. My first truck so other may have insight here
- Going along with the first point, tires are also a little loud but again hoping that with a little more time and miles the sound and ride dampens a little
- I’ve heard others mention the power running boards are loud and while yes they are loud, I’ve gotten used to them after a week. What I may turn off is the automatic deployment upon approach. If you lock your truck and don’t walk away fast enough they’re coming back down.
- Wireless charger has caused my phone to overheat. Kind of weird but it’s also while connected to wireless CarPlay so that could play a role. Not the end of the world.
- Also saw a thread about the shifter being gimmicky and going into park while in reverse — I’ve had no such issue. While in reverse, I even tried to push it to park without using the button and it wouldn’t budge so I’d disagree with that being an issue with every truck.
- Carbonized Gray is amazing
- I currently have no intention of doing any kind of lift or suspension adjustments. When I look at the truck it has the perfect amount of rake for my taste. This is 100% personal preference and I also feel that the rake is less in the 2021 than other generations.
- Wireless CarPlay is also amazing
- The 3.5L EB has some serious get-up and is an absolute pleasure to drive. Transmission is smooth and I have zero complaints on either the engine or transmission.
- The interior work surface will seldom be used by me but I did have to send out a few emails from the truck today and having it was really nice. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the wait if it’s a constraint and holding up the build though.

I’m overall incredibly pleased with the truck. Happy to post pictures or answer any platinum specific questions. Didn’t post any pictures because there are A LOT being posted these days so I figured I’d just give some thoughts and impressions.

Thanks for the inciteful review. It's great to see the flow of trucks finally making their way to members. Best of luck with the new truck.

When you first drive your truck you notice every detail. I have had mine for about 2 weeks now and I really don't notice it anymore. This is the best F150 in years.
