Wrong Factory?

Got a call from my dealership yesterday telling me that my MY2023 F-150 order has a mistake on the order and it was going to the wrong production factory so he had to correct it and resend the order.

9/16/22 - Placed order at dealership
9/20/22 - Receive email confirming order from Ford
9/27/22 - Changed 40/20/40 to 40/Console/40
9/29/22 - Receive email from Ford that the vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of November 7, 2022. 11th number in the provided VIN in the email is "F" (Dearborn)
10/8/22 - Receive call from the dealer described above and get a new confirming order email from Ford

Anybody else ever hear of this? Seems a bit strange to me that dealership would be able to make such a mistake in the system?

Yes Ford announced last week that they were canceling orders that were at the wrong factory. Doesn’t make a ton of sense because you don’t select the factory you want it built at, but they just do what the do now .
