My truck has refused to get any OTAs for about a year, always immediately tells me it’s up to date and won’t even show me version information in Sync anymore (They’re all just blank where there should be version numbers). I had made a few small changes with FORScan for the key honk, seatbelt minder, and maybe one more minor change. Is there anything that checks you against the as-built data before applying OTAs to prevent issues with the installation? It’s the only thing I can think of that would possibly be causing me to not get any.
It’s already been to the dealer for the CSP that involved reflashing one of the modules which was said to be a cause of net getting OTAs and nothing changed after that.

Thanks, I didn’t think it affected OTAs at all, but it was all I could think of because there’s not other obvious explanation.

Unless you mess up some OTA critical data in your As-Built in modules such as GWM/TCU or BCM you should be fine. Most of us here are messing with ForScan all the time and if done carefully it should not affect your OTA

Here’s what I mean about not even being able to see what Sync version I’m on. Has anyone seen this before? I definitely used to be able to see the version/revision info at one point.

I also can’t enable automatic updates, I have the schedule set, but when I try to toggle on automatic updates it registers the input but the slider never moves. Checking for updates manually almost immediately tells me I’m up to date already.

Looks like a 1.7.1 issue that locked everything out.

Yep, I think that may be the one and only update I ever got. I know I never made it to 1.8.x.

For the heck of it I also tried a Sync master reset this morning to see if it would do anything. No change.

@Jesse-Infotainment Any thoughts here? Dealer fix needed? Could the dealer even have actually fixed the 22B08 and still had it in this state?
