Will tinting windshield mess up HUD?

Debating on tinting windshield. Will it mess up my HUD?

You may be the one that tells us. I pondered this question a couple of weeks ago. I decided, if I was going to put ceramic tint on the windshield, I would go to the installer first and have them put a small piece of scrap over the area of the HUD to check it out.

I have XPEL XR Plus on my windshield, no issues with the HUD.

I don’t have HUD in my f150, but do in my Highlander and previous BMWs, with a 70 ceramic on the front, never had issues

No. Just had it done. HUD is just a reflection or projection would probably be more descriptive.

XPEL here too. Zero issues with the tent and it definitely keeps the dash cooler. even before the tint I was annoyed by the reflection on my windshield from the plastic around the HUD. I cut some felt strips to size, they have a sticker backing. It helped a lot.
