HUD Reflection

That annoying glare from the heads up display? That bother anyone else?

I noticed it right off when driving directly into the sun, a reflection from the HUD area onto the windshield about a 1/4 by 8” just below my line of sight.
It bugged me, so I had this rubber strip with adhesive backing about 3/8 wide 1/8 thick and I stuck it on my dash. Completely unnoticeable.
Fixed! No more reflection.

Nice, thanks for the idea. Mine seems to be a reflection of the bezel, I’m going to have to mimic your efforts to eliminate it as well.

I used some black hockey stick tape to stop the reflection on mine. It's cheap, and it doesn't leave any residue if it needs to come off.
It's flat dull, and really stops any reflection from happening.

1st thing that bugged me about my new truck. Still driving home from des moines iowa to texas and was considering electrical tape.

Thanks for the hockey stick tape idea! Sounds better.

Thanks for the tip on the adhesive foam! I used 1/2" by 1/4" thick and it worked great! No longer driving me crazy with that reflection. Thank you again for suggesting it! Hockey stick tape is also an outstanding idea.
