So I'm looking to add running board lights, especially since I use the Lincoln fold mirrors and don't get the benefit of the puddle lights under the mirrors.

I know some have added them, but looking for some recommendations. I've done some reasearch and one thing I'm being a bit particular about is I don't just want led strips held on with 3m VHB (not that i doubt it woudl hold). I'm most concerned about when approaching the vehicle, but having them when running could be nice (esp some of the options below with turn signal functionality)

So that brings me my first optoin, which is more like under truck buddle lights byt Starkey:

I really like that they have an aluminum mounting solution that holds the LED strip. It seems to be more linked to the interior lights, so not sure how I like that ,but I'm sure it could be modified to work on the parking lights.

Next are from some companies I'm not too familiar with

XKGlow. These seem to be in a rigid mounting solution with a fair amount of LED Density. Also has turn signal functionality

Opt-7 has multiple options. the multi color is interesting (and I can change it up) and they have ones you could use as warning lights. I don't need those, but some part of me wants them :)

I'll mention F150-LEDs, but they are just strips and not really in consideration for me, plus I hear the instructions are really bad.

I'm sure there are other options and I'm sure I could also mount my own channel to put the LEDs in as well and use strips.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

I have not done them, but have wanted too also. Did you ever choose one and install it? If so, how do you like them?
