Well... there was a post somewhere about a woman who got back to her car in a large parking lot. There were 4 men in it... (She was packing) She pulled out her pistol and ordered them out of what she thought was her car. They ran and ran and ran. She got in and the key didn't work. She realized her car was a few rows over, got out and left. Meanwhile the police were taking a report from 4 men of a crazed woman stealing their car. The police couldn't stop laughing...

There are a lot of Ford Pickups In Wyoming fortunately--or in this case unfortunately-- and in Wyoming we don't lock our vehicles or take the keys with us as often as we probably should. A friend and I were at a luncheon and he needed to get back to a meeting--since I drove I told him to just take my F-150 truck back and I would catch a ride with someone else--I told him my door code and the keys were in it. He left and I got a ride back to work--when I arrived back at the building security people approached me and said somebody was looking at my truck that my friend had driven back and this person was saying it was his truck. They directed me to where my friend had parked "my" truck and a gentleman and the local Police were waiting next to it--but it wasn't my truck--it was in fact his truck and my friend had jumped in the same color and make Ford pickup but wrong truck--that was parked next to me and the keys were in it so he punched the door code and it unlocked (was unlocked) and jumped in and away he went. The real owner used his Ford app to find where his truck was and came to get it with a friend of his who I knew. I explained the mishap and neither I nor my friend were arrested for grand theft auto. And fortunately the owner was kind enough to give me a ride back to my truck. Gotta love that Ford App and ability to track down you missing pickup when somebody in Wyoming mistakenly takes it!

The word out here in Sublette is: don't leave your truck unlocked. There are enough illegals in the county and if they see an unlocked truck they'll open up and see what they can walk away with... Years ago on my travels in the Navy, I learned to lock up every time... regardless.
