I held off on posting this because I wanted to get the final totals from the body shop. Back in October 22, I was involved in a head on accident with a vehicle that was traveling the wrong way on an entry ramp to the interstate. Fortunately, it was very minor and the truck was still drivable though the other driver took off.

Fast forward three months and I finally get the truck into the body shop for repairs. The original estimate of the damages done in October was around $2200, very low ball because I could see items that were damaged and not on the estimate. After the body shop started their tear down the price went up to $4100.

I just got the final cost for the damages, $4934.15. Basically, the bumper and everything behind it was replaced to the intercooler but the fog lights were good. There was additional damage to the valance between the grill and bumper that also need work. Just so you know, the reprogramming of the collision sensor was quoted at $818. Really helps you understand how valuable the information on this forum is.

Definitely not like the old days where replacing a dented bumper or broken tail light was a relatively minor expense.

About a month after I got my truck, someone backed into the front bumper. Fortunately it only damaged the bumper and none of the sensors. Initial estimate at a certified Ford repair shop was ~$2k, final bill was actually ~$5300. After trying to repair the damaged parts and failing, insurance approved replacing the broken parts.
