It looks like a lock cylinder. Strange. Is The lock cylinder is in your glovebox?

Just a guess, but something removed from a component during assembly line activity.

We'd be surprised how much stuff they don't leave in our trucks if we saw the disposal bins along the line.

It's either the glove box lock cylinder or center console lock cylinder.

I found the same cylinder in the glove box along with a key. Key is cut like the other keys in the truck. It was odd to me the key had no hole in to put on a key chain.

Figured the lock cylinder was for the glove box or center console, both of which had locks installed already.

I found the key you found in my driver‘s door pocket, but it wasn’t accompanied by a loose lock cylinder on my vehicle.

Ok, I think it may have been the tumbler for the console that was unneeded because I optioned the work station? I’m told that flat key (@ tbinmd) operates the tie downs in the bed utility package, but have not confirmed that.

The tie downs use a normal cut key that comes with them. Like a mail box key. The flat key will open the lock on the door and interior locks.

I do have the work station for the center console and it came with the lock tumbler installed. There were also locks install on the rear seat and glove box.

Do you have the 40/20/40 seat? If so, the 20 part of the seat bottom has a lock that looks similar.

That is the key cylinder that locks the glove box. Found the same thing in my truck one morning in the drivers’ footwell no less. I though it came from under the dash; dropped by the dealer to ask, and tech came out to fit it back in place

I believe it’s for the arm rest cover next to the path there is a key cylinder

My tie-downs were installed when I picked it up. No keys in the truck anywhere in the truck that I can see. I’ll have to call the dealer.
