I have been looking at super duty trucks, specifically the 7.3L gasser with 3.73 rear end (350 only) for a while, I don’t typically tow anything but for several reasons the equipment on the super duty trucks seemed like the best fit for me. I have looked at F150s in the past, and drove a last Gen truck with the 2.7L for several years as my company truck going across country.
What convinced me out of the F150 was the start/stop, I hate it, I don’t even want it on my vehicle. In fact, as an engineer it rubs me the wrong way to have such an obnoxious, over burdening system that requires my over ride or a work around to make the vehicle function like a modern vehicle and not a 1980s jalopy. Seriously, I wouldn’t accept a personal vehicle with it for free.
So it goes without saying I am overjoyed to see it can be deleted from a new truck order. I am strongly considering ordering a screw 5.0, 4x4, 3.73 truck. Unfortunately it seems like the typical discounts we are used to seeing on F150s are NLA. Fortunately I work for a supplier and have a supplier discount I can use.
I’m hoping some members that are in the NC,SC, VA area can chime in and let me know what dealers they are using and if they are paying at MSRP, or below/ADM. if you are finding dealers that are offering incentives does moving up trim levels typically increase incentives?
