Very strange issue happened last night. I drove about 120 miles for a day trip listening to Sat radio. Was very nice. On the way home, got in the truck, started the nav, started the sat radio and tried to turn the volume up. Nothing. Just the display on the screen with volume level 0. Sync sees the volume trying to be changed everytime I try to adjust it but never goes above level 0. Tried the steering wheel controls with same result. I did a reboot of the system while driving using the special holding of steering wheel control buttons for 10 seconds. No change. This is the 12" B/O non-unleashed system.

Any hints or similar experience?

Yesterday I read in another thread a very similar issue and the only way they are able to resolve it is by removing the fuse and then plugging it back in.

My suggestion tho is let the dealer worry about it, reseting on your own may just allow an issue to limp along not getting fully resolved until your warranty expires. Yeah it’s a hassle but then it’s documented and if there is a systematic issue it can be identified.

I hooked up Forscan yesterday and found a few codes referring to inability to connect with the audio signal processor. I'm guessing this is related. I also found some other codes with lost communication with the power window control module. Oh so many modules in this truck so I will be getting an extended warranty before year one is over. After 9 months of ownership I'm only at 3200 miles and been to the dealer more times than I ever imagined. I love this truck but was hoping for a better experience. Oh Ford, you own this market so you should be doing better with quality control.

Well, I didn't want to drive to the dealer multiple times so I fixed it myself by pulling fuse 28 in the fuse panel behind the front passenger kick panel. This is a 30amp fuse for the amp. Perhaps it was just stuck in a bad state. I'll see if this happens again.
