My truck wouldn’t start this morning and just about every warning light came on. Including a flashing light next to the “P” on the gear shift lever. I have a video but it’s too large to load on here.
Update:
Ford F-150 Update #2.. No start, every warning light 915E6A37-B279-44EE-BA90-D3BFAB94286D
Tech said all problems pointed to a bad PCM but he doesn’t think that’s it. They have one on order.
Update #2:
They replaced the PCM and the truck ran fine for a bit then started throwing a bunch of codes. Now Ford has authorized them to replace the gateway module. It’s on order…

Some additional details could help. Did it crank or nothing? With the limited info, have you checked your battery voltage?

It wouldn’t crank. Just flashed every warning. I hooked the charger to it and it didn’t give me any faults. I never checked the voltage.

It’s really hard to explain. That’s why I took a video and tried posting. I’ll see if I can shorten it.

Hi there! Can you send us a message with your VIN and Ford dealership name? I’ll look into this on my end. Thank you!

Voltage is 12.5 and it’s 4.79 amps. This is at rest because it won’t crank.
Edit: I also unhooked the battery in case the EV battery fed into somehow.

Is it a powerboost perchance? I ask since I've owned 4 electric/hybrid vehicles and had the battery die to the point that it wouldn't start on two (Chrysler Pacifica plug-in and Chevy Bolt pure EV).

In each case, got Christmas Tree dash, and failure indicators implying it was the transmission with zero cranking in the case of the Pacifica and oddly, a flashing P indicator (obviously no cranking on the Bolt since there's no alternator).

In both cases, NO indiciation it was merely the 12V battery. With the Pacy I had it flatbedded and a whole bunch of nonsense ultimately to just replace the 12V battery, and with the Bolt that experience taught me to try one of those LiIon "booster" packs which was enough juice to get the electronics happy enough to allow the vehicle to start and then drive to the dealer for a new 12V battery.

If you don't have a PB then maybe this is all irrelevant, but everyone I know that has a hybrid or pure EV (including Tesla) says that when the 12V dies, it looks like all manner of terrible things have happened but it's really a very simple fix.

It is the Powerboost. I tried jump starting the truck in my driveway and that didn’t work. The dealership also tried and tested the battery, still nothing. They installed the new PCM and had it running but now it’s throwing a bunch of codes.
I really do appreciate your input ??

You may have created an additional problem by unhooking the starter battery. The PB 12V system has two batteries— the starter and a small (7.5Ah) auxiliary 12V battery under the rear passenger seat. By unhooking the starter, you might have drained and damaged the auxiliary.

I wouldn’t worry about the hybrid. The engine has to be on for the hybrid battery to do anything.

This sounds like the same problem I had. Dealer found a broken wire in the harness that connects the PCM. Attached is the notes from the technician.

Yeah mine too. I don’t think it’s a good thing, lol. I got worried when I found a nut that wasn’t tightened at all. It was just resting on the stud.
