Under bumper led back up lights

I drilled and tapped four holes in the trailer hitch bar for 1/4-20 bolts. I bought an adapter on Amazon that gave me the reverse wire behind the bumper trailer plug. Looking forward to see how they look at night.

It is not washed out. The lights are only 30 watts. I have only seen them in the driveway so far, but are not too bright. I wish I had angled them out just a few degrees. After I have used them for a while, if I need to aim them different, I might move them.

I did pretty much the same thing. I wired mine up differently. I did it as part of a whole setup for the truck bed. I added USB charge and cig lighter ports to the power panel on the left. I have those set up on their own switch. I also have LEDs under the bed rail and the oval LEDs in the stock location by the tailgate. I have the reverse LEDs set up with cascading relays so that they come on with the truck in reverse or with the switch that controls the bed LEDs. The relays isolate the power so that the bed LEDs don't come on when the truck is in reverse and vice versa. On the power panel, that backside is pretty exposed to spray from the rear tires. I use heat shrink to make a "mushroom" cover to help keep any rolling water of the back of the components. It's not waterproof but I have used this in the past in boats with good results.
